I found in situations like that were u can't role ur dirt down the slope to get rid of it then I start at the bottom of the slope and work my way to the top u can move more of ur extra dirt without having it end up all on ur silt fence.Try it next time it might help u some

Recovery? I dry muck and cut slopes all day long on grades like that. He's pushing almost granular topsoil. Not saying he did anything wrong but he ain't no Jesus for steering out of a low side....

Tricky,.operating on a slope like that,..gotta watch out for the side slip possibilities. Is this going to be a grass covered area ?

how do you like the K series? We have 3 550 j series and a H series. I like the H and the J's. Our 700J is a little light in the rear tho

How did the 550k compare to your dozer?
@letsdig1810 жыл бұрын
its pretty close to the same, I think mines a touch bigger so it seems to push just a little more and also my blades about a foot wider
@pjs.843710 жыл бұрын
Chris, why were you using that Deere dozer instead of yours?
@keithbrettell205810 жыл бұрын
Is there a gage in the cockpit of the dozer to tell you the angle or position of the blade or do you just know from experience?
@robertperry65017 жыл бұрын
Unless they have the GPS set up to run the grade it is all by feel and experience

What are your thoughts on that 550K??

Nice job Chris. How did you like the deer? I think this is the first time i have seen you wearing long pants or a vest for sure.
@letsdig1810 жыл бұрын
it was required along with a hard hat, but im not much on hard hats
@RockCreekEnterprisesNM10 жыл бұрын
letsdig18 I can't stand hard hats either. On jobs that require them I try to stay on the equipment and only put it on when I am off the tractor.
@Alasdairryan10 жыл бұрын
,I think your dozer has wider tracks? Also yours has a closed cab and is made by komatsu.....yours it much better :)

Not very good operator. A good operator would not have slide and almost got stuck. A simple job. Was not well planned out. Once again lack of operator experience.
