Great tutorial but after all that work to make a detailed tutorial you also simply need to show the mask being worn so people get an accurate idea of the fit. Thanks.

@@com2375 People don't have a one size fit all face. You would have to make adjustments so it fits you properly. I've made a few dozen masks and I always make them to order because I want the fit to work with each individuals face. Also it would be 100% impossible to make a mask that will stay away from your mouth while in a chiropractor's table. That isn't even a fair way to judge a mask.

@@com2375 I feel like you must have done something wrong because all of the complaints on this is it was to small. Maybe give it another go watching the video a bit closer. Them try it on before you sew it. If you make them yourself you have no reason why you can't fit it properly before sewing it.

Great tutorial - I am looking to make one for my elderly neighbour and this is just what she is looking for. She struggles with regular face masks as she feel claustrophobic with the nose and mouth being touched by the fabric. However, she does wear glasses, so would this design be suitable for a nose wire at all?

Thanks for the video. I think the dimensions are too small for larger North American Adult faces, and the elastic would also need to be longer. As well, I would add a layer of non-woven interfacing in between the two layers of cotton fabric, for an added layer of protection. Still, a unique design, thanks for your video. ~Diana K.

It’s a vertical pleat instead of a horizontal pleat. They are set every 2 cm apart. An accordion fold is basically what it is to give it fullness in front of the face.
