This was pretty big a few years ago on a lot of the artsy-fartsy award sites, was not a fan then and still not my favorite today. The other comment about pop art is dead on, it's like some 60s Warhol or mod design. I can see it for personal portfolios (if you're in to that kind of look) or trendy publications, but not in 95% of client work.

This is really interesting; it must be true what they say about design trends: that design trends repeat in cycles. This style reminds me of the early 2000s, like pixelated video games of the 80s and 90s user interface.

I don't know if this is mentioned in the comments before this one, but what you can do is paste the screenshot and before scaling it down, copy and paste in place the vector. Then you can scale both down and the vector will perfectly align with the screenshot design.

It’s a nice look. But won’t suit most clients. I think it’ll work for independents, campaign sites and quirky sites that won’t be around for too long. My main worry however is accessibility with the contrast between text on buttons and colours being quite low. Would be interesting to see how the contours would work responsively.

@emmm_44653 ай бұрын
As a FE Dev my biggest Oh Damn was the curves and I’d tackle it personally by importing the curves as a vector and playing with z-indexes or cheat and have it as a background image… The rest is pretty intuitive. If as a dev I had any concerns I’d definitely bring it up with the designer (how will this work for something limited like mobile???) and seek an alternative or if time is limited drop it.
