I waited almost 50min to see "dem gitz" blast marines to "smittereens" and then idd hé forgets sustained. Still only on 5+ cause reserve is end of the movement fase and orders happen in command fase. Coming out of reserve counts as having moved, So no bonus on the heavy.

You can't get Lootas hitting on 4+, as to-hit modifiers can only go as high as +1 or -1. And Stormboyz come in mobs of 5 or 10.

I love this faction matchup. Very fun video! I wish my army looked as beautiful, fletcher is an inspiration. As a dedicated DW player I have a few things to point out: - you can only have up to 4 hellblasters in a fortis killteam - I don't know what exact wargear was taken with spectrus killteams, but you were likely missing out on FNP6+ when fighting with stormboyz - You appeared to roll 6 attacks for the aggressor models grenade launcher without rolling for numeber of attacks? With d6+blast you should have had 6 attacks minimum? - I know you don't care about optimal gear when filming games for entertainment...but your lack of hammers disturbes me.

Yeah this felt like casual deathwatch vs competitive orks in terms of force composition and tactics.I don’t think they had enough deathwatch aggressors to run two indominor teams and for some reason he kept charging the team with one aggressor into combat instead of the team with two? And unless the deathwatch veterans were wiffing at range so they cut it for timeI don’t think he declared the range attacks for them in the last turn? Also, he had a Chaplain in bedded in the deathwatch terminators but he deployed them like an objective holding unit instead of a unit that should’ve been using it re-rolling charges and the plus one the wound the chaplain gave them to be getting stuck in to close combat. But I can entirely understand using the CP to try and save his watch Master, even though it wasn’t a good idea it’s really easy to get invested in your characters like that.

Sadly our Deathwatch collection is limited. Thanks for the catches on rules though! The Orks list was trying to take a mix of units to show off the new detachment rather than outright competitive, although I do think it could be made competitive with some tweaks!

I thought I had after I posted was thinking “you know people have had a lot more time to consistently play with or have expectations of what different units ork should be able to do? Where as the deathwatch changes so often.” And also, I have shield and bolter deathwatch marines because they’re just fun and they look cool so I really shouldn’t judge.

The Spectrus KT still feels like it would be better as a sniper support unit. The shoot and scoot with the instigator that you can take on one eliminator and the redeploy make them really elusive if they are positioned properly. Precision would've been kinda nasty against this list that hinges on characters giving the ork squads buffs. GGs though, a fun watch as always!

These DW models look gorgeous and full of flavour and personalisation, sadly I think you're only allowed 4 plasma in Fortis KT It's all very new now, very different but on initial appearance seems the same as before so different things aren't obvious until you deep dive with DW.

The only option I see with the Meganobz is the Killsaw, Power Klaw combo, the twin Killsaws having only 2 attacks is just poor from Games Workshop, but even then it is the second best option. I don't understand why anyone chooses to take either the Kustom Shoota or the Combi Weapons with the Meganobz it just isn't worth it.

killsaw/PK combo is a bit of a waste. Can't fight with both as neither has the extra attack rule. Twin killsaws, while one less attack than the PK can re-roll wound rolls - which with S12, AP3, D2 is good as a can opener (at least until Breaka Boyz start to become more common).

@@jamiehall814 Ah yes, did forget about that rule thank you, have been trying to play more logical and fun these days rather than obeying the rule book. It is a real shame though, I don't see why a Meganob shouldn't be able to fight with two melee weapons if it is equipped with them, being so heavy and all. Same with a Beastboss. In some situations I can understand why a unit may not be able to run double melee weapon combo, when they are as elite as this though, it eludes me. Mb bro, feel free to ignore this, its just me ranting about a potential situation where Killsaw/Power Klaw may still be a viable option... But even with this, just because of how bad 2 attacks are, against extremely light, fast-moving armies with a lot of bodies and limited/no heavies, I can see some niche situations where taking the Power Klaw, Killsaw, or a Power Klaw w ranged weapon combo could actually be viable (especially because you can only take 1 Power Klaw anyway). The 3 attacks compared to 2 attacks, especially if you are running Ghaz with his buffs and bonuses, will make a massive difference against lighter to mid tier units... And you still have the Killsaw to do major damage in case there are a few heavies, with Ghaz + 1 to hit and + 1 to wound, extra strength and attacks from the Waagh, not to mention his other ability in the Waagh and Makaris abilities, you will be hitting on 3s with the Killsaw with the same amount of attacks and popping extras on 5s for War Horde, and with the extra strength and plus 1 to wound you will be wounding on 2s anyway, so the only benefit of twin killsaws being twin-linked may not even matter.... With how useless ranged weapons are with Meganobz they are definitely not even an option. It may be good to take the Power Klaw even then, just for the extra weapons option against lighter/medium units with a lot of bodies. 5-6 Meganobz with 1 extra attack from the Power Klaw, that also has a chance to pop extras on 5s with Ghaz, and wounds on a 2 anyway against lighter units, could be extremely useful in comparison to just 2 attacks even with a twin Killsaws twin linked ability. Plus you still have the extra option, to use the Killsaw anyway as you have both equipped, so even without being able to use both, the dire situation of just 2 attacks, and how useless ranged weapons are with Meganobz, makes this arguably the best option for a Power Klaw loadout anyway... Of course, this is extremely niche, and you want to be taking twin Killsaws 99% of the time, and this combo should only really be paired with Ghaz.... But nevertheless, its still a thought, having two weapon profiles to choose from, especially when I have seen so many Meganob units get bogged down or screened by light units with a lot of models even in comp, and this could be a solution to that, especially with Ghaz. Heck, even against heavy armies, when you are running Ghaz, +1 to wound means you are wounding heavy units on a 2+ anyway with extra strength in the waagh, making twin-linked fairly redundant. The options for Meganobz are so few that even the Power Klaw/ Killsaw combo when you can only use one, could potentially be viable. Having that extra option to deal with lighter/medium toughness units with a lot of models could actually be the play, as a lot of armies send rank and file to slow down Meganobz, and this could be the play to get rid of them, even only being able to use 1 melee option, which I still don't fully understand.... ( I feel like they could make a rule saying that if you use both weapon profiles, decrease the number of attacks by X amount or something).

I wanted to get control of the board quickly in turn 1, hence the aggressive play. This has always been successful with me when using Orks, especially against an army that has redeploy shenanigans like the Deathwatch do :)

Never call a turn 1 waagh if you arent running warbikes with a wartrike and follow me lads. You need to get the majority of their army within a good advance and charge range to get the most out of the waaagh. Turn 2-3, after that your army is too small for it to matter before that your not close enough to do damage
