@VCG Construction. Thanks Vince for the video. Bosch has some great innovations like you said the SDS bits. It's great that Bosch has convinced a bunch of companies to make X-LOCK products and that it's backwards compatible. I'm pretty sure that Bosch also made the T-shank style jig saw blades that most companies moved to from the old style U-style that needs tightening set screws. Hope your wife is better and hope you and your family stay safe and well. Have a Happy Father's Day.

Great video ,enjoy your clips on tools etc, over here in UK, we've had the M14 quick change locking ring there's great only have to to finger tighten then clamp down the half ring really handy for grinder cutters ,so much faster no tools required.👍

As a welder i get wheels with a nut attached to the wheel and if i have to use a arbor nut to secure the wheel, id just hand tighten the nut then use the arbor lock to snug it up. I smack the wheel to unlock it and change wheels. The x lock just seems like one more thing to fail on a grinder

Doing heavy metal work thats how its done Never really seen anyone use the wrenches or spanners, even working with carbide toofus milling blades X-lax is a cool concept but seems more liability driven than anything

I have the Milwaukee M18 Grindr I'm not sure if Bosch or Makita that has the not will you don't need the two prong wrench they have like a little wing nut that flips up and makes changing discs extremely easy

.My grinders are German Fein and German Metabo. Fein grinders have amazing power and in an untrained hand dangerous. That said I think X Lock type systems are the future. I do not have a Bosch grinder, but I would like to try one.

I think it could be the next big thing. We got one handed impact drill bit exchangers and hand tightened drill chucks. It’s about time angle grinders gets a full on update and diablo blades are the best. I went cheep with a recip blade and it was so bad then I saw diablo blades on sale and got them. I have had diablo in the past and now I won’t buy anything but diablo blades now

x lock needs to make a threaded spindle adapter that you could use for core bits and other thread on accessories.You could buy several of these spindles and leave them on the bits and cups.

My favorite thing about that segmented turbo blade that you're showing is the fact that it is 5 in instead of 4 and 1/2 in which seems to be all Home depots around me want to carry is only 4 and 1/2 in. It's extremely hard to find any 5 in in stock at Home Depot. Very very frustrating. They have five in grinding discs 5 inch cutting discs... I don't know what the problem is I've brought it up to the store manager at the closest to Home Depots last year.... Still they don't ever have them... One of them doesn't even have a spot on the rack for 5 in.

4 minutes to find out this is backwards compatible, i should of just bought an X-lock grinder, it would of been more productive....😂😂😂
@akesha41382 жыл бұрын
DO NOT BUY THE X-Lock system grinder! This is literally a stupid system that locks you into proprietary blades that are extremely expensive and often impossible to find easily. The beauty of angle grinders is how well they cut and grind with wheels that can be purchased in bulk for as little as 50 cents each. X-Lock system literally destroys that advantage. The few seconds you gain in blade change speed will be offset by the hours you will spend obtaining blades. Buy a Ridgid, Metabo, Dewalt brushless grinder OR a Flexvolt and Milwaukee Fuel grinder instead. A brushless grinder for battery operation will run 30 to 40 percent longer on one charge. Grinders DO run the battery down quickly, so have at least 2 fully charged batteries ready. (Semi-pro tool seller KCMO)
