This sounds great! My only complaint with this pedal is the general accessing of the secondary functions. For this new version of the DIG, I REALLY wish that Strymon would have incorporated a switch to allow the player to toggle between the subdivisions for Time 1. That would be so much easier that having to unpower the pedal, hold both switches down, and turn the Time knob while having to remember the location of each Time 1 subdivison - then having to tap your time in again. Very annoying. At minimum, it would have been nice if the Time 1 subdivions had been printed on the pedal in parentheses.

I purchased a Dig last November; I absolutely love it. Moving the filter to the top is a great move. The burning question, are original owners missing out that much as a result of the move from the SHARC to ARM processor? If the original Dig sounds 9/10, is this new version a true 10/10?

Is there a workaround the ramping up/down sound when changing presets with different MIDI Time Clock? It makes a great annoyance in live situation. I found the spillover doesn't even work in this scenario as well?

could you explain how with these settings in the example ( short and buncy) you got double notes? I have exactly half the notes with this setting. but i have the first version dig.

I don't have an effects loop would this still work going to the front of an already dirty amp? I know delays are better than other in front!

Basically the new pedals put the secondary functions of the legacy pedals in front with few new knobs and maybe slightly different sounds.

Correct, it depends on the pedal - not for DIG, but for example Deco has an added cassette voicing.

Great pedal, but still missing a lot! This should have been put in a bigger case, like the TimeLine, with a display and full MIDI SysEx support. How can you expect professional level use without the ability to backup presets, download/upload them? That's a basic requirement for anything PRO level.

The version of our Nixie software is nearing completion, which will make it far easier to download and backup the available 300 preset slots, as well as having a visual representation of the pedal as you tweak it. Stay tuned. A bigger case for DIG would have made it into a different product. Hope that helps Italo!

@@strymon That's good to hear! I really hope each preset will be a .syx file one can use in any way, from backups to rebuilding a different order of presets to sending the preset to another user. Or am I dreaming? Will the new Nixie support MIDi SysEx on the Volante too?

There are two individual delays inside DIG - each has its own mix control :)

Are the presets saved on the pedal and accessed via a controller, or are they saved to the midi controller?

Hey there - the presets are saved to the pedal and recalled via a patch change message from a controller. Hope that helps!

Answering my own question. Yes spillover is available but not the default setting. Easy to change as per manual.
