So glad you showed the mail room and trash room! Most tours just focus on the pretty things so it's great that you showed the things that are more practical too.

My wife and I laughed when you said Vista Way was kinda not such a nice housing area and not so nice things about the pool. We met at DCP in 1985. Back then DCP housed everyone at Snow White Village campground in double wide trailers with 8 to a trailer and no living room. Vista Way would have been a dream😂. The Flamingo would have been a fantasy.

Just finished the newest episode of the podcast (the COVID-19 episode). Loved it! So many other channels are talking about covid impacts/changes, and I feel like you guys just bring a new perspective and conversation to the table. Loving the schmoofcast in general! Hope y’all have a great weekend!

Hi! This was a super helpful video! I was wondering as a Canadian, will Flamingo Crossings act as housing for International Programs as well, such as the Cultural Exchange Program? i.e. do DCP and Cultural Exchange share the same housing? Thanks!

From what we gather it’s going to house *everyone*. The old CP complexes are being rented out by their management companies now, so there’s no going back there

For the two bedroom 3 people do you have to pay more to get the room with the king bed or is it first come first serve.
@TheSchmoofs3 жыл бұрын
It’s all based upon what you agree for in the lease. Every situation is different and predetermined

Hello from Vegas! 👋. Do you guys know any sites or places to buy discounted DW tickets? Would love to surprise the kids next month. Shopping around for best price. Thank you!

Just got accepted into the program, is this the only housing for the DCP?

The complex is amazing!! I have a couple questions 1) if this complex is for DCP, how come there are residents already? Can anyone rent an appartment there? 2) are there enough rooms to make up for the other 4 gone complex? 3) you know if they're going to have boys and girls rooms? Or they can all be mixed in the same appartment? 4) are they affordable? I did 2 programs (2017 and 2019) and the most expensive rooms were $200 a week or maybe more. How much are they gonna cost now that they're 1000 times better than the previous complex?

so I'm not the person who posted this video but I am about to move into fcv so. 1. there are some full and part time cast members living there already. I believe they're getting a campus a lot like this built. 2. hopefully lol 3. they have both gender neutral and gendered housing and it's up to the cps to decide what they want. 4. the 2 bed/2 bath/4 person is $175, 4 bed/2 bath/4 person is $195, and I believe the 4 bed/4 bath/4 person is $215

Hi! I don’t know if you’ve found your answers yet or not but I’m actually starting the DCP in two weeks so I figured I’d help with the answers I have. 1) before the DCP was announced back, flamingo was open for rent to any cast member or operating partner. Now that the program has started again, it will only be DCP housing from that point moving forward. 2) there’s six buildings with four floors and however many rooms per floor for housing and each set of rooms sleeps up to 4 people so I think there’s more than enough space for everyone that opts in to housing. 3) rooms are automatically single gender but there is an option to choose gender neutral housing which would create mixed rooms. 4) I was placed in a 4 bed / 2 bath and will be paying $195 per week until January where it will increase to $205. The most expensive option is a 4 by 4 which will be $235 after the price increase next year from what I understand. So it seems like all of the prices are still right around what the nicest housing was before flamingo was open.

Whats the deal with bringing friends or family over? Is it still strict or just a visitor pass type deal
@TheSchmoofs3 жыл бұрын
Not entirely confident. When we toured they weren’t so much discussing the details of the college program but rather actual residents

I think it's wonderful. They are beautiful, but with what a CP earns and if in addition they have to pay the utilities, THEY CANNOT PAY IT. Those apartments are NOT AFFORDABLE to them.
