Tobi I think these battery boxes are brilliant. The ability to use your own replacement battery means it’s likely to work for many many years. It’s also so adaptable and they appears fairly robust. With a 1000 watt inverter they are a no brainer

Git mine today. Simple amazing. I wish I had it before I built 2 solar power stations but it's limited to 1000 watts but way more portable. You can even jump a car😮

@@stedyone1090I think you might need a lead acid battery for that. These provide a higher peak amps for a short time that’s required to start a car. It might work however

I see your voltage at 122. Got mine today and only 111 volts.

Is your battery fully charged? Mine was pretty constant at 120-122

@tobisreallifeskillswithtobi Battery was at 13.3 volts about 80%. When I run just a fan at 125 watts voltage goes to 108 volts. Licitti emailed me it was normal and sent me a video how to up the voltage with a screw driver but I'm not skilled enough to open the thing to do that. LOL

I doubt very much that its more than 100ah. I'd much prefer to build my own from scratch as i have built many smaller ones in small ammo cans as the container. Nice video, and greetings from Jamaica.

Not sure what you mean with 100ah? There is no battery included. The 280 ah from Licitti does fit in the box though ;-)

@@tobisreallifeskillswithtobi I meant your battery looks a little small to be a 280ah battery, and it looks more like a 100ah. But it's sometimes hard to tell size in a video.

The biggest take away from this is that even with a full charged 280aH of reserve, when you put load on it the "battery gauge" drops to a flashing one bar, which gives you no real information of expected runtime at that load. Is there a battery kit out there that has intelligent system to give you estimated runtime? Most all in one battery boxes like Ecoflow and Jackery let you know how much time you have left at that load, and that is a HUGE thing to me in a situation where I'd be using a box like this.

I bought one of these boxes and yes the gauge is a bummer. What I've decided to do is install a $30 Coulomb Meter Monitor that I got on ebay. This adds a functional battery gauge that shows actual wattage/amperage going in/out of the battery and remaining amp hour capacity. This really should've been included on this version but it looks like they did add it on the 2000watt model.

Why don’t they make a bigger case with a drop in 280 ah battery. Yes, it will be bigger, but more user friendly than building your own battery.

If I only charge an ebike battery and recharge the box via solar panel, would you recommend this or save money on the older battery box? it is a $40 difference.

Will they sell the bottom box of the new box ? I have the other Licitti box and their 280 battery that won't fit in the old box .

I’m interested as I’m trying to fit 305 Eve cells with the BMS on top of the cells. I have the Gen 1 box and BMS from Sun Fun Kits but have not bought the Eve 305 Cells yet. If they are the same size as the 280 cells I have a problem :-(
