I surprised you didn’t coverup the hinges and the folding spaces with reflective gold tape or the like in order to disguise what the headboard was made from. I think that I would have done that.

The solvents in spray paints damage the inner polystyrene in the foam board, it eats right thru it. Its best to use acrylics or a water base paint.
