I agree completely. I love both the day and night courses. The detail and humor are wonderful, and are a fitting tribute to Wallace and Gromit. Congratulations to all involved. I hope that we see more collaborations like this in the not too distant future.

The holes are a challenge (with mud, jam and paint to contend with) and I love the final hole being on the Moon. Even the gravity and movement of the ball on the Moon has been taken into account. @InnerPrincessVR5 ай бұрын
The contraption in the middle clicks as it rotates, and there are 4 pots around the kitchen you need to try to time it to aim for. Most are 2 clicks apart, except for one which it aims at 3 clicks after the previous. Spend a moment watching the head movements and where it aims, then line up your put, count the clicks until you’re ready to hit, then trust your shot

Easter egg on the moon. Maybe the tallest, or maybe not, but near enough, and probably the skinniest spire (stalactite-like protrusion on the moon) there is a tiny, pinky fingernail sized face at the top of that spire. It looks kind of like a gnome. It's not a tiny skull, this time, but a face. It's roughly on the opposite side of the rocket from W&G's picnic, so look for the skinniest spire in that general direction. Happy hunting.
@InnerPrincessVR5 ай бұрын
There’s a bit of a tradition with placing things at the highest point in the course, have you found any of the objects on other courses?
@JRTStarlight5 ай бұрын
@@InnerPrincessVR Yes, that's primarily why I was looking at the stalagmite-like spires (sorry, I said stalactite-like before - even though they were neither since nothing like that is on the moon). The last I found was in the remastered Cheery Blossom out to Mt Fuji - a torii gate is out there, and on the tip of one end of the upper kasagi there is a little skull, just as there is one wearing a gondolier's hat on the highest tower in Venice. The full Skelton under the water on one of the fountains (hole 10, maybe) is more amazing, but a skeleton would likely be too dark for a Wallace & Gromit theme. Anyway, I love these Eater eggs.
@sureaney3865 ай бұрын
@JRTStarlight - did you find the skeleton and skull in Around the World yet? 😃🎈
@JRTStarlight4 ай бұрын
@@sureaney386 Yes. In some luggage there are some bones, IIRC. But the most interesting two things are the full skeleton sitting in the chair hanging from the highest ballon. Fly on up there and have a look. IIRC, he had some binoculars and a briefcase. But wait - there's more - the second thing is on top of that ballon is a tiny skull. Fly all the way up there and have a look. It surprised me since it's easy to miss even when looking at it from more than a few feet away, so get right up there.

I actually flew to the moon, since hole 18 was in that general direction, thinking it might enlarge to the actual hole 18, but like most moons, it disappeared when I flew past it. 2D things are like that in these courses. Moons, stars, sun, etc. But on that side, I saw a circular hole in space? What the heck is that? I flew over to it, another bit of a trek, and once I flew past it, it vanished, too, like other 2D stuff. Fly back and see it from the moon side, but not from the 1-17 hole course side. I have never seen such a thing before in any mini golf course. What is it?
@Fiveward5 ай бұрын
I was also really curious where they were hiding hole 18 on the map. You can find it by flying a bit underground!
@InnerPrincessVR5 ай бұрын
It may be the shape that provides the background texture, but as the reply mentions you can find the moon if you look down…
@JRTStarlight4 ай бұрын
@@InnerPrincessVR I see anomalies I take to be open gaps or weird mathematical problems when viewed from places never intended to be inhabited. But the one in the W&G course looked exceptionally different - not just something that appeared (and moved when turning one's head) but was a stationary thing I could fly to. But I don't know what it was supposed to be. And yeah, fly down through the basement and keep going to find the hidden moon scapes deep underground.

I havent played it and it looks good... but i really miss longer courses. Par 5s and par 6s and i want less par 2s. I miss the par 60s courses. Also, i want more creative courses with mechanics... like meowwolf and upside town. But they always make great courses. Edit: Now that ive played the easy course, its about the same as venice to me. Looks amazing and the level of detail and homage to the source material is incredible. The hole designs are good and well though out, theyre just not that fun to play in terms of challenge. I looked at the hard version and it does look more fun though

I’m over spending extra money on map after map. Made me stop playing if I’m to be honest. I bought a phone, car, and other devices that get substantially better and free updates. This game and dev’s have become greedy.
@InnerPrincessVR5 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t say it’s greed at all, there is so much work that goes into these courses, and they’re available at such a low price. The base game has also had several free updates since launch, so you have 8x2 base courses and periodic updates without having to spend anything more
@ibsn875 ай бұрын
@@InnerPrincessVR I get that a lot of work goes into these things. But by the economies of scale, I dare say the dev’s are doing quite ok. The game is successful in its own right, and will continue to be, especially as it’s had continual development, has exceedingly positive reviews and meta continues to sell headsets. It also is appropriate for 5 year olds - 60 year olds and has minimal motion sickness risk. I love the maps, I get that “lots of work” goes into them. But compare this to the work that goes into say a single scene in Call of duty/ any other pc game which has INFINITELY more textures, polygons, sound studios, physical motion tracking and actors + physics/ photogrammetry etc. By today’s standards, I’m not convinced that now they have the game engine up and running, they know what they are doing, pumping out a polygon map shouldn’t really be such a monumental task for a small team. I get it, they are a small studio(I know nothing other than that). I wouldn’t want to give away things for free. But at the same time, many hugely more complex games are being given away for free and then utilize micro-transactions. In this case you’re paying for both the game and each and every map. I’m surprised the base game isn’t free to play with the number of expansion’s available!! No it’s not on Xbox or play station (player numbers). No it doesn’t have the million plus player base. But I suspect they are doing pretty well on meta with 12,000+ reviews… I can’t see the data, so I can only speculate. All that aside, my opinion is mute other then. 7 people I play(ed) this with, have all stopped buying updates. And the enthusiasm to replay old maps is low at best…. So. There’s that. They are competing against some pretty good games that have substantially more repeatable play time and complexity. If they had given away W+G for free. I’m almost certain 7 people would have come back to play and re-invigorated the interest in the game, which could ultimately attract more players to buy the base game. But for literally everyone I know, it’s having the opposite effect. I would be curious to see the data from their end. I can’t imagine people are willing to hand over a substantial amount of money to unlock everything. I think We’re talking $100+ to unlock the game and all the maps now. The barrier to owning all the content is getting higher for new comers 😅 I dunno. I, and everyone I know has stopped playing it. So, I can speak all the crap I want. But that’s a fact 🤷🏼♂️ otherwise, this map looks sick... (I hope they are sponsoring your updates with these high quality videos!!!).
