More than half of the legendary hunters are normal, if international, people with their faces exposed. Combine that with all of the tier 1-3 variants and you have a lot of “normal” skins. Legendary hunters have a legend surrounding them based on their actions and mystique, which is added to by their unique appearance. No one cares about Janice “Stinky” Torborg the tier 2’s story, but Scaramuccia?

I don't like that one. It would equal removing every non-legendary skin. I'd rather have random legendaries pop up in the normal hiring menu now and then, alongside the non-legendaries. Especially interesting if you have like 30 skins you haven't used in the last year, and since there's the reroll hunters option now, letting you reroll till you get a legendary with decent traits.

Mind blown at 9:49, the idea to just make legendaries an applicable skin like the weapon skins sure seems like the best from a UX perspective. (On the other hand it's one of those things that seems incredibly simple from the user end that is probably somehow terribly complicated from the back end)

I really like the idea of being able to apply a legendary hunter skin to a regular hunter. This would be a much better balance than just giving legendary hunters X amount of trait points to spend. I’m just curious how they’d implement that with the UI. It’d be really inconvenient having to toggle through 30 hunters just to get the one that you want - so they’d have to adjust it a bit from the weapon skins

@@nightmareTomek That idea might also work -- but they'd have to filter which legendary hunters you have access to in the recruitment pool. Otherwise they might lose DLC money and event exclusivity if you can just reroll until you can play as a hunter you don't actually own

In regards to the legendary hunter discussion, personally i only use legendary hunters when im playing with people so i dont have to necessarily worry about having necro. But when I play solo yes 100% use the Tier 2 and 3's. I think your idea with applying the skins on a normal hunter would be the best way forward Mike. New Legendary Hunter Mountie seems dope, but don't think the game would be pay to win if Legendary Hunters are the same as teir 2/3 Hunters, since there is a couple different way to get Legendary Hunters for free. For example LV 50 in battle pass is a free hunter even without getting the pass, twitch drop Hunters, getting lucky in dark tribute, or just farming enough Blood Bonds and buy a hunter thats on sale.

The thing I can see with getting legendary hunters to 'fix' them is that they come with 7 upgrade points, no perks. Just the base 7 to use as you please. You don't get more than the recruits and you don't get scammed from not seeing what they'll have.

Applying Legendary Skins would be the *BEST* balance bcuz it makes me not even wanna waste money on DLCs currently which is sad bcuz I can’t support the game 😔 and this video sums up exactly how my past 2 weeks have been going, Mike. I hear what you're saying about Legendaries, Mike, but also consider that they are now kind of the "budget hunter" obviously I am not taking into account equipment cost, but $100 for a hunter with three traits (however random they may be) isn't a bad break. I think maybe a fix is expanding upon the extra trait points they get when their traits are cheap. Maybe giving all legendaries one or two extra trait point regardless of trait spread would help? I doubt a hunter having two extra points to spend would break the game and it could give you a cushion of points to replace something like bloodless or gator legs with necro on recruitment.

It doesn't really matter much, but I noticed you are killing the armoureds with two heavy and two light attacks. I would expect heavy - light - heavy - light to be faster, or does that not work in hunt? I am not sure since I only rarely play with the knuckle knife.

Unless you're brand new at the game you should have some of the free legendary event hunters by now. So i don't think they are making the game "pay to win" if they come with unused points. Maybe make it so they just come with X (maybe 8?) perk points and you can get the perks you choose. Buying regular hunters still gives you on average more value anyway but i don't have to roll a hunter with three useless 2 point perks making me unable to actually get ANY good perks.

the only downside of applying legendaries as a skin is having to buy hunters with equipment you might not even wanna use, yes you can sell it but its not rlly worth it, and i frankly love the clean slate you get with leggies, however.. i do agree they are a lil.. underperforming, if anything why don't they just give you like.. 10 points..12 points , anything above might be a lil too strong, so while you still can get better stats ( more points ) from t3's , legendaries become like a guaranteed/conistent set of points , cuz i hate getting crossbow traits and poison vision when i dont wanna run a crossbow, and who actually uses poison vision,you always get around 7 and when you traid in the ones that don't fit your plan you end up with like 5

(-1 for each skill you want to trade out) so the 7 point minumum equals 4 points if you dont get a skill you want (and often my 2nd and 3rd skill are 1 point skills like blade seer. which net you 0 if you try to refund them) I think ghost actually did a vid talking about it, and tier 3 hunters can often come with 10+ points worth of skills

A lot of time spent just to make sure a player loses his hunter. Is it really just so he can't shoot you in the back... with his one bar through the woods? After you ran him over once already? That's why I hate the current state of self-revive. Either you're in a good spot or in deep chaos and you can revive over and over (I tend to build fortresses now with traps and then snuggling behind it)... Or you see players spend 5 min bullying your corpse because suddenly they're afraid. What do you think about this, Mike: self-revive with a 2 min cooldown and Salveskin stops your corpse from burning everytime a bar is burnt and you're not lying in fire. That would give players the option to just leave, or the time to look for a lot of lamps in peace. Also a fire bomb would burn 3-4 bars, but a flare gun just 1, aaaaand... an oil lamps duration should be increased by 50% so it burns 2 bars. That would give players like a chance to respawn into the match, which I think would be cool. Terrible idea, huh? I don't think anybody would like it, but people complain about the current state, too. I'd like to just see how it would play out, in some 1 month short event maybe. Oh yeah, and if players are really so afraid, give them the option to throw a dead players rifle into the water (not the pistol though, that's hidden in the boots).

Okay Okay, a Mountie trys a hauntie on bounty and kills twaunty but then goes outy. Thats what you did to me with that tumbnail. I can report that i often get fanning or doctor on my legendary hunters, quite usable after resetting it to get necro. I admid there also shitty from time to time. like 3 traits from the 3 points level and 2 points to spare but then thrower, docter and fanning, by incash that its more points then ohter trys regulary do. Dev´s got a heart for gamblers...

Honestly if the solo pushed and fought or did litterally anything other than try to be the super rat then I'd feel bad for them but those guys are the reason solo players are on fire as soon as they hit the floor and the team just sits there with 3 guns at the body and a thumb up their 🍑
