So over the weekend I made a patriotic gnome for my front door but I needed a "topper" for it. I am the WORST bow maker and gave up years ago. Love, love, love all of these projects. We have had a big cookout and fireworks show at our house for 8 years bringing neighbors, friends and family together to celebrate the wonder of America on its birthday. Thanks to co-vid, we couldn’t celebrate like that in 2020 but this year’s party will make up for it. Thanks to ideas such as yours, our 4th of July party will have all the elements - great food, fireworks lighting up the sky and beautiful farmhouse decor honoring our great country and the people who made it great. @@themakersmap I've used the black and it covers with just one coat. No streaking. The white, I had to use several coats and it still didn't cover. I haven't tried any of the other colors yet. But I definitely like the black.

DIY with Amber Strong hey tip on bows snip the area your gonna be adding the zip tie to on both sides before u go full zip it sinches the middle like sooooooo good ! And it leaves u more of togetherness look in center just a tip love your channel

If you put baby powder or talc, I like equal parts in any kind of paint, it makes it chalk paint. I add equal parts to dollar tree paint with a lil water and it works much better. Love your channel

You can use the sanding block from dollar tree to take the edges off when your modpodge is dry it makes it look a little stressed. Hello from Florida 🌞

I also made the mistake of buying CC paint. The white was horrible!! I also bought black, red and green. I have used the black and it was just fine. I do make messy bows and I love them! They add such personality to a project. One tip I have is to throw your cut ribbons into a brown paper bag so you can't see what ribbon to choose. Works for anyone, especially when you want to control your bows! My favorite project is the welcome sign, but they are all great!

I also purchased some of the $1 tree paint, mine was yellow and same thing, it did the despairing act. I scored a great stash at my local Wal-Mart with the same size bottle for .50cents each, I bought many beautiful colors and no fading. Thanks for sharing your experience..

Welcome to YT!! If you do any wire work, you need some needle nose pliers. They have round barrels instead of flat ones. You can find them in the jewelry making sections most anywhere. Really loved all your projects!! TFS!⚘
