I don't use a recipe for the fruit flies. Just a little water, a apple cider vinegar and a squirt of dish soap in a disposable cup. They'll be gone in a couple hours if not sooner. Love your videos Vivian!! 💜💜💜

Thank you! Been searching for the recipe. My workplace has fungus gnats cuz the plant lady won't change the soil (and no one else can touch them of course) so watering day is super irritating. Imma put some lil ugly cups of gnat attractor around the office and maybe she'll finally change the soil cuz those cups of dead gnats will mess up the aesthetic of the pretty pots and plants.

What works for me getting rid of fruitflies (or un-aliving them😄 ) is in a shallow bowl, put apple cider vinegar and heat it up until just warm, add a little bit of sugar, stir to dissolve then add a couple of drops of dish detergent (I use Dawn). Stir gently, so as not to cause any sudsing. Don't forget the soap, otherwise you're just feeding them, which I did once 🙄 Within a few hours you should see fruit flies at the bottom (un-alive 🤣). The solution will evaporate, so you'll need to rinse it out and make more. It works great for me.

So excited for the fruit fly cup cause I always have to make my own with a mason jar, paper, and tape. Put vinegar and a drop of Dawn in the bottom of these cups and I swear no more flies!!!! Any vinegar should work but I use red or apple vinegar cause I think it’s sweeter and works better:)

Ohh!! The fruit fly trap! You can create your own! Jar, some Dawn dish soap (not a lot), cover the cup/jar with aluminum foil, poke a few small holes in it...and VOILA!
