Awesome work bro really enjoy watching your builds. I will be one day build my second electric mountain board but not sure wether I shud stay with trampa deck or switch to MBS and trucks.

Thank's mate! I'd suggest to give MBS a go, even the top gear mbs stuff is cheaper than trampa products. Although The HS11 deck from trampa is still the best mtb deck I've used for all around riding.

@@jenssjogren4309 hey bro i built a platform onto a warren pro 97 deck and i have to say the deck feels longer than the trampa deck that im use to riding on. i tried numinous times to see if i can get use to it but didn't like the feel, my trampa feels way more nimble and easier to jump and turn on due to the slightly shorter wheel base that im use to. In saying all that Trampa is ware I'm staying

@@chrisneru6564 Yeah the binding hole patterns actually gives a wider stance on the dw97 than hs11. It's definitely not as nimble and playfull as trampa decks due to the 30° truck angles instead of 35° and also the stiffness of the deck. Dw97 excells at speed and stabillity, trampas wins at comfort and agility I just built a board with the bro96, also very stiff and 30° angles but i used etoxx adjustable baseplates to get a 35° truck angle, feels great so far

Nice build. Love that ESC enclosure approach, could you give more details about it like what you used to elevate the first metal plate from the board and maybe your 3d design of the enclosure? BTW, cannot find foot bindings anywhere in Europe, do you know any stock available somewhere?
@jenssjogren4309
@jenssjogren4309 3 жыл бұрын
Thank's! Glad you like the build. The ESC box design is very simple and consists out of 4 parts. 1: bottom plate out of 3mm alu, acts as mount for the ESC aswell as heatsink. 2: 3d printed middle wall 3: top lid cut out of 1mm alu plate 4: 3d printed frame to make it look better. I could give you the files for middle wall and frame if you want to make a simular box. I simply used some old skateboard bushings to elevate it, there are much better vibration absorbers out there but I used what I had at home 😬 If you strictly look for MBS F5 bindings they are mostly out of stock everywhere. Retailers in EU that i know of is Electricboardsolutions.com Atbshop.co.uk Mbseurope.com Powerkiteahop.com Otherwise you can always buy trampa bindings directly from trampa.

Hey, what would you recommend on driving mainly on paved roads in a city, but not in good condition (so mountainboard is a must). Rather use Trampa flexible board or this stiff MBS one? Thanks
@jenssjogren4309
@jenssjogren4309 4 жыл бұрын
I'd say it's all about your preferences. On most of my boards I've used trampa HS11/holypro decks. On my 2 current boards I use a Kaly deck (stiffer than trampa 17ply but has some flex) and the mbs comp 97. I'm a bit torn and can't really decide what I like the best, it depends on situation. The trampa decks are very flexy which makes for a great ride and smooth carving, downside is control at higher speeds. The MBS comp 97 gives better control since it's more predictable, it also carves more aggressively and makes it easier to slide. Downside is that you feel the vibrations way more when off-roading. Overall I still like the trampa decks better than the MBS in most situation, I need more time on the MBS board to make up my mind.

@@jenssjogren4309 Yeah it's possible though that I end up using the same MBS board as you in this video. And the reason behund this would be simple: price. Looks to me that MBS high end is still cheaper than trampa's starting prices... And as you put it in this video - this setup is so simple and still working pretty good. I was planning to use gear drive from E-Toxx at first but currently I don't think it's worth it. So I'm looking firward to see more videos of you riding on this MBS beast. Stay safe!

Didn't i mention that in the video? oh well, it's the belt drive kit from electricboardsolutions.com. It's a basic kit that does what it's supposed to, some belt skipping during hard breaking but nothing to bad

Hi, sorry for the late reply. To be honest i havent been riding much at all during the second half of this year. Anyways i do have my opinion regarding your question. For general purpose i do prefer the HS11 17 ply over the DW pro 97 deck. Taking in consideration that the mbs option is half the prize is a big deal though. Basicly comes down to preference. -Hs11 rides way more comfortable -DW 97 has better control due to the stiffnes, vibrations are definitly noticeable off-road.

Thank's! It's epoxy with fibre glass baloons, AKA "battle hardening". Filling epoxy between the magnets prevents the magnets from loosening. I do this on all my motors since it greatly improves their lifetime.
