Power dock and power link compatibility with pk1 is awesome! Thanks for the vid.

16 dc circuits on switches is awesome and the 48v alternators will be interesting can’t wait to try them out!

The gen 2 would be great for a workshop. Especially if it has 240v. Maybe once I finish my van I can put that in my house.

Being a Power kit Gen 1 owner here's my take on this... The max AC output for the Gen 2 according to Ecoflow website will be 4000w. Yeah I know it says 5000kva Some folks think it will be 5000w. My Gen 1 can do 4000w sustained. I usually don't push it that hard but at times it did it. Next, the max solar charging on the Gen 2 Power kit will be 60v MAX, bummer! My Gen 1 Power kit can do 150v, again I know it says 60v on website but I've been using 3 strings of 150v panels (4800w solar input) for over a year. No problems. I am in a off grid house so I don't have alternators or 12 v stuff. The one thing I like on the Gen 2 Power kit if it's true is the lower noise levels. At night I don't hear anything but in the morning when the Sun comes up and charging starts can be loud. So Gen 1 or Gen 2 Power kits would be a great choice. Ecoflow finally got the Firmware right and this thing works like a charm.

I'd spend extra on Gen2 just for the reduced noise

Did you find the gen 1 to be too loud?

It seems the Power Distribution unit can be used to replace the typical AC/DC power hub in a typical RV, but would add App accessibility. It can be used as a stand alone unit, correct? If you have the opportunity it would be great to see one installed. I'm interested in adding the capability to my RV. Thanks for the information on these components. It enhanced my understanding of their capabilities and use-case scenarios.

Can we talk about solar input? Are they really gonna stay with 60V per MPPT ? 😮

For my livaboard expedition truck the battery capacity was a deal breaker for me. ECOFLOW has fixed literally every issue preventing me from buying it. Now I can run my heatpump AC, inductioncook top, and editing computer without running outta power!

Great info! I was hoping to hear more about the solar charging differences. I heard the Gen 2 lowered the total amps input?
@VanLand15 күн бұрын
Thank you for your kind words! The solar upgrades are mainly in integration and efficiency. It allows for 4,800w solar input which will help with faster charging. It also has MPPT technology (maximum power point tracking) helping the system capture more energy in low light

Specs I've seen show max PV voltage @ 60v for gen 2. Hope this is an error

Hi there Thanks for the updates, do have a question regarding the GEN 1 monitor/screen do you know if the data cable can be replaced with a long one ? Around 20 ft as I have the power kit in our garage but would like the monitor in the house as Wi-Fi drops in and out a few bit. Is it a special RJ45 cable ? Thank you

Gen 1 with the new components sounds like the sweet spot.

Can the current gen 1 power kit that I have be upgraded to have the use of a stand alone 48v alternator charging option?
@VanLand14 күн бұрын
No that won’t be possible as far as we know.

This is a total guess but I'm assuming round a $500-$2,000 difference

Not surprised that the only video explaining this new modules is from you hahaha I have a doubt. I have the power hub v1. (Been one of the first people installing it on a van more than 2 yesrs ago) now the app says that I can add the power dock. I have 3 5kva batteries. I was thinking to moce battery 2 and 3 to the power dock. Then the 3rd port would be free for my smart generstor. Also I have a delta pro and I understand that I could connect it to one battery port of the dock/power hub? Do you know if that is possible? I got the delta pro to use as "proxy" to charge it from ev chargers and then connect it to power hub. (For now was just from the 120v output)

Also new one will be quieter which actually matters in smaller camper vans. Interested to see all of these improvements in practice when review units are out. Until then I’ll hold off on battery system purchase.

Gen 1.5 would have been fine. Gen 2 is a bit of overkill...maybe one price too. Can both Gen supper 240v/level 2 charging?
@VanLand15 күн бұрын
I agree that a refresh and the 2 new products would've been fine rather and yes
