I'll never forget when I first heard this song. I was in a record store perusing, and the store was playing the 'Heartbreak' album on their sound system, which had just been released earlier that week. This track came up and Johnny started going in at around 4:06, my jaw literally dropped!!! Mind was blown. I bought the record that same day, and this record remains to this day one of my faves from 1988. Great memories. I appreciate your reactions ITZJT, it helps to keep the music alive for current and future generations to love and learn.

Johnny brought his A-Game on this one. The full vocal gymnastics! Funny thing is, he said when Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis told him they wanted him to sing lead on it, he wasn't happy because he didn't like the song. He decided, if he was gonna do it, he was gonna sing the heck out of it, lol.
