I honestly believe they did this video when he first joined the group. You can tell he wasn't comfortable dancing. But he was on point for the If It Isn't Love video and that choreography was much more difficult than the NE Heartbreak video.

New Edition STILL gets down like this, and they range in age from 54-56 years old! Ronnie Devoe (the tallest) is the best dancer, and Ralph Tresvant is right up there with him...because he puts a spin on all the steps while also singing lead. Johnny isn't a dancer at all, but his voice added a more mature sound. Bobby did leave the group, but at that time, he blew all the way up! Their recent 30-city Culture Tour, which featured all 6 of them, was a quite successful. Plus, you truly get entertained. You get all the songs and outstanding choreography from New Edition as well as the music by BBD, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill. Not to mention that Jodeci opened the show, and the legendary Charlie Wilson took the stage after Jodeci.

I agree, Bobby did his thing but NE were doing more than OK. The NE heartbreak album, the tour, the videos, the singles, the choreography elevated them to iconic status! After 1988/89, no one saw them as the guys who sang candy girl anymore. They had gone from boys to men!

New Edition was just as successful with Johnny Gill as they were with Bobby Brown. It was after this album they started their solo careers. They got back together in 1996 with Bobby Brown and released their Home Again album.
