Today is 28th February 2024, I have been giving my 12th Boards recently which are still going on. Looking forward I see that the new education policy was proposed in 2020, yet coming back to 2024, I see that nothing of this has been implemented yet . I personally coming from a science background would have loved to pursue economics as well as political science, but unfortunately I can't. Would be going to a college in few months, I don't know if this policy would be ever implemented or not, also how practical it is. Hoping that our upcoming generation should get this, and they get free from rote learning and lack of freedom in education which we all have lost. Would come back on this in the future to see any update on this.

Though the policy is really good.. But the biggest apprehension is the governments implementation,as all it previous records goes it always makes lot of noise without any real efforts. This hopefully should not put the students future in peril with half baked implementation. Moreover taking away the power from the states can make it even riskier...We all have seen it highly pompous demonetization policy.. This government almost always bosses around without giving room for discussion.. Let's all hope sincerely that for once the government does something good

The policy is really good apart from a few negative points but that's OK Main concern is implementation. We don't have a suitable infrastructure and mentality yet to bring in these changes. -Lack of teachers with good knowledge -Parents mentality to always top in schools -Focus on only getting jobs in prestigious MNCs -Non enterprenual culture These are just few things which need to be fixed first

One of the worst thing in our education system is, it emphasize lot on rote memorization. The best technique to get rid of it is, open book examination which are meant to test understanding level and critical thinking of students. I am in USA, my daughter here experienced open book examination for few tests. Seriously it’s wonderful. Question were based on application, synthesis, critical thinking and creative ability. Students need not to full their mind with lots of information by cramming rather they need to use their mind creatively and critically to answer. I am a teacher educator, use to teach these concepts theoretically to B.Ed students. Now hoping that, these will be implemented practically and education system in India will improve.
