@@syrobe Yep, they just conveniently didn't mention that an already niche utility spell was made even worse, and now has little to no benefit compared to buffs like golden vow, best part is, it still is an aura buff, so it can't even be used with golden vow to make the defense slightly better... My boyfriend struggled with the final boss for 2 days, switched to that cheese build and got him second try... It's not like there are cheese options for anything. I hate nerfs that take a weapon from "disgustingly OP" to "utterly worthless". The Bloodfiend nerf is a good example of how a nerf should be. Tone it down from being so OP but still leave it good.

@@BrandonHeat243 I don't think the perfume bottles are "utterly worthless" you just cant abuse an exploit of throwing them at the ground and proc all the explosions. I went and tested it myself and I was still getting able to get 4k-6k on smaller enemies and 7k-8k hits on bigger enemies, so i'll say its still viable build just cant practically one shot anymore which is fine by me.

Against large bosses it still works great because they didn’t change the hitbox they made the move stop if it hits an object, so against people like rykard it will do a lot of dmg

I played around the with impenetrable thorns and the hit box for smaller enemies was iffy, you couldn’t be point blank or it would fly past, and you couldn’t be at a distance because it would do a lot less damage, and if an enemy was locked on, the other thorn projectiles would not hit adjecent enemies. But otherwise when it did converge, it was big damage

@@MrFox-xr9cc If you want good color, do the basic whip, it has a high range among the whips and can be found in Castle Morne. The Urumi is really interesting but defs doesn't feel exactly like a whip. The tooth one in the potentate village is relatively good too. Hostlow's chain whip is one of the coolest in my opinion tho

The Knight's Lightning Spear incantations still has the same effect as the Lightning Perfume had (that is, the incantation summons multiple lightning spear and EACH spear that hits the target will generate a separate lightning shockwave if the target is standing on water, giving great damage).

If you dont shoot the rolling sparks at the floor, i assume they'll still be good. Im guessing that originally, they were bugged to spawn all their hitboxes when they hit a wall. Now they'll stop spawning hitboxes once they hit a wall. You can probably still one-shot bosses with larger hitboxes.

@@TalZadios Discus with those buffs can deal as much damage in less than half the FP Cost. Multilayered Rings of Light can deal upwards of 10k damage with those buffs. Requiring 70 Faith, 40+ FP and a long cast time, it should deal monstrous amounts of damage or at the very least do something extra like Moon Soceries that enhances magic damage, maybe reduce the Holy Resistance of enemies. Being buffed by Dryleaf and Circlet should be a feature of the spell in the first place, at this point Fromsoft is just lying to us with those descriptions. And please stop coping, people defending this shit is the reason some things in this game stays dogshit useless.

If you don't aim the rolling spark at the ground and allow the perfume to go out, it still hits multiple times so it's still quite effective against large enemies such as dragons. It just has very limited use now because before it was effective against anything.

@@dr__hennessy5193 No other bleed build does more damage than thorns with the maternal staff: a single cast will proc 2 bleeds on bosses, let alone players. I distinctly remember getting 1 single phantom hit from just one of the thorns from a guy running this and getting 90% bleed buildup at level 200 with full solitude armor. Each thorn normally hits multiple times and there is no cooldown for bleed procs.

They took away my Bloodfiend's Occult Arm's S scaling in Arcane, now it's only an measly A! Can't have shit in the Lands Between... Though I might be over reacting a bit haha, it still hits pretty hard with 80 Arcane stat and unbuffed. I did notice I wasn't staggering bigger enemies as easily so that kinda sucks. Also if you guys have any recommendations for weapons with good arcane scaling let me know! My build is more about "throwing things at the wall to see what sticks" at the moment so I'd love to see what's been fun for you to use.

That's my impression too. It was always 93 poise right? Only with the cracked tear you could stagger on the first combo. I've been reading few comments talking about a Nerf and i didn't notice anything different...

Buddy, i am counting on you. Saw your 2 days back post and sounds like you may reduce videos on ER@DLC due to the probability of decrease hype with the game. I didnt manage to experience he lightning perfume OP effectiveness, tried all the steps recommended but didnt work. I move ahead with the game anyway. It really doesn't bother me they nerfing these OP PvE builds. For example, Comet Azur is fine because you stand still and pray for the boss not to move too much. Perfume was fun, but terrible design. They could buff it a little, tho. Many incantations are very fun, but also bad damage. The solution would be buffing and balancing all incantations/spells to do the same average damage, and have at least 2 to 3 very strong weapon options for each category, so that people can have fun.

Actually, you still can but you have to do it in the ways they allow. For some reason they are totally cool with some cheesy op shit and not other cheesy op shit. The only thing that makes sense to me is whatever an employee uses to beat Miazaki in pvp gets nerfed and whatever he uses gets buffed.

Isn’t that the point of having the freedom to choose how you take down a boss? Like, you can choose whether to make your the fight harder or easier for you? Don’t get me wrong, I’ve never used the perfume ash, never got the chance to do so, and I think nerfing things for PVP is crucial for balancing. But neefing things for PVE? That just seems pointless and contradictory to the philosophy of Elden Ring’s gameplay.
