I hope Elementor intend to do a lot more work on the Mega Menu. I have used it a couple of times now, but I can't develop with it for any client that requires robust Accessibilty requirments as keyboard focus simply does not work, even with attribute customisation. Also, for large sites with many sub navs it would be great to be somehow hooked in to the classic WP appearance > menus structure.

Having an alt template in the loop builder is really great. The mega menu option is great as well but I've never used one. Might give it a try but not sure how that works on mobile. As far as the UI changes, I'm seldom a fan of those. Especially when they completely change the layout like they have here. I hope they don't make a habit of doing this. That said, it does look like it will be more functional. At least once they add a clear way to exit.

I have purchased and enabled as you pointed out in elemento settings but im not seeing the menu widget as you pointed out anywere ! ... am i missing something ?

The ability to align the icons in an icon list vertically is a welcome addition. Up til now I've had to use CSS to style it.

Thanks for your tutorial. I'm interested in the loop function but I can't find a way to make the variations dropdown show up. I have a plugin that does it for my normal category pages but somehow on the loop widget this does not show up. Any clue how it can be fixed?

Hey folks, I can't find this additional menu widget anywhere! I've got as far as changing over my header to flex. I have Elementor Pro installed. I've gone in and made sure to tick the relevant boxes to ensuring nesting is enabled and so on.

Cool. Has the speed improved anything? Still love the workflow of elementor but moved away from it some months ago cause of the performance. Compared to Bricks etc. But if elementor improved the markup / rendering it would crush pretty much all the competition. At least for me.

Is it possible to set up the mega menu so that when using the hamburger menu I can click and see my pages and categories in columns - the mega menu comes straight from the hamburger rather than dropdowns from a listed menu?

Say you use the new mega menu from elementor and create a 5 item menu. In item 2 and 4 are submenus Is it possible to style the item itself? I would like to create a menu for mobile where it seams that you also see the submenu. But for that they need some extra padding on the left. Whatever I try it doesn't seem to work

7:44 Yes, streamlining by taking out many of the options on the bottom left, but for the life of me, I now can't find how to export a page as a template as one can do by clicking on the 'update' button at the bottom of the left hand panel. Would be a great feature - when it would work. Unfortunately, it's still flawed and needs some work. When I activate the dropdown and hover or click (depending on the settings) on the menu item, I don't get a new container, to which I can add widgets.

In Elementor version 3.13 this does not work anymore. Hitting ESC will no longer provide what it did. Do you jappen to know what's the alternative now?

Elementor say it's stable and a lot of people are using it in production - but, it is worth bearing in mind they may change something fundamental about the way it works (they've already done this once) that may cause issues with your designs.

How long is it going to be before these ‘experiments’ are stable enough to be included in the main tools of Elementor? I’ve not played with any of these yet as I don’t see the point until they are useable within live sites. They all seem really useful and I can see many applications for me, especially where I am currently using additional plugins to perform these tasks, such as Ultimate Tools for Elementor which has a perfectly useable Mega Menu widget. I’m not sure why the team at Elementor take so long….

Thus far the main work around for mega menus has been to use popups which, I gather, are bad for SEO. I'm hoping this new long awaited feature is also SEO friendly

The trick for this is to create the pop up menu, then and the standard Nav menu, then under responsive menu, turn off for mobile, tablet and desktop, it can then be read by search engines

Unfortunately, I have no idea. Elementor are not the fastest at moving features like this from Alpha/Beta status and until the Container goes to a final release and not a Beta, I don't see this becoming final I'm afraid.

I think you’re missing the point. The new builder design is based on a newer faster architecture / framework called React. So if they want to improve the usability and reliability of the theme builder, then this is a logical step.
