Lil Phabeni is so cute! He was so hungry, poor baby! Thankful for the lady that found him wandering in her property & stood by him, not letting the Kruger rangers shoot him (still don’t understand why they’d do that?). @@mortalclown3812it doesn’t matter how many times I watch that video, and it’s been an awful lot, it still gives me chills and a little squeeze of my heart. The pure unrestrained joy they felt and displayed at Khanyisa rejoining the herd after a short period of absence. Initially the human part of me not understanding the language of Elephants misunderstood the emotion as anger or aggression and it scared me. I could not imagine being as small as Khanyisa and having this mob of angry charging giants charging me. But of course Khanyisa understood they were saying “Welcome! Welcome! We missed you so much and beyond joy to have you back home! Come! Come, our most precious little one and let us wrap you in our trunks and give you all our love and protection. You are not alone any more!”
