The way that you described your thoughts on Tobey was exactly what i was thinking. It made no logical sense to have it in the album in my opinion either and i also found it quite annoying to listen to lmao. I do however think that your point about em not being clever is a little misguided. I believe that the point of the song "Trouble" was to give a wake up call to people that slim shady is back. I dont believe he needed to be clever to start the song as its purpose was to be a jolt into what this album holds. I love your videos bro and your opinions on this album were top tier 🙌

I don’t think any of these songs were bad or trash, I’d say that quite a few of them were average though. Road rage, head honcho, trouble, bad one, and habits were pretty average compared to Eminem‘s music catalog. The rest of them were all really, really good. Edit: I changed my mind about Habits and Bad One. Bad One is S tier for me now as I relistened and now love it. Habits is a B tier and is pretty good.

I'd say that the entire album is about Marshall having nightmares of shady that's why he wakes up after the songs brand new dance and guilty conscience 2 and that to me explains why em was more cringe (though i don't find it cringe and just couldn't really find a better word) because thats like slim mocking Marshall in his dreams plus this is not set in the real world it's set in a imagination place where a lot of things that slim raps about is happening at the same time like a dream and if you listen to the album backwards starting with somebody save me to Renaissance is says a new story where slim actually kills Marshall,it's really cool when you have that mindset and also just in general i found this album to be great and had amazing flows that can be dissected in so many ways i think the best way to listen to it is by just shutting off that part of your serious brain and let the songs simer in your body. All in all i still think em is the best when it comes to cadence,flow,and just general hip hop magic 9.5/10
