New England ville is one of the places that I have never visited. I always stop at Kinghaman Rd and Benjamin land and look New England from a distance.

He goes by the same name - Samuel Kpakiwa (in his case, junior). He, too, was blowing up my phone during your march. You guys had some fun. That's all that matters in the end. Congrats on your 120th birthday, AA. New Englan Ville is very nice. I agree with you wholeheartedly about the lack of planning and all the safety issues that come with this sprawl. This makes me wonder, Triple-A; I know that development is on a hot upswing right now, but are we seeing any indications or intentions to start doing proper zoning and planning? I don't see any evidence of that, but one can hope. You are in the know way more than most of us, so I am asking. But then again, the other sad part is that even if we did plan, would folks adhere to the laws and requirements? As the saying goes, "dis na Salone bissness." An updated zoning, planning, and taxation model will help on many levels. It's what we see in the West. Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of taxing people to tax (or rob) them, but we need a proper revenue base to care for our cities' needs. The existing model of "chiefs" selling and reselling (and selling even several times more) land is impractical and unsustainable, not to mention how corrupt the whole thing can be. I was recently taught that hard lesson in Kono (and I am from there!). Oh well, at least the views of New England Ville are lovely, right? 😀 Okay, let's handle the shoutout requirement for this video. We started at the New England Ville Police Station at the bottom of the hill and wrapped at Tigama Junction, Last Station. I am taking it that transportation does not go past Last Station, which means it's a two-foot taxi after that. As I said, the views are stellar, but there seems to be an access headache, which means things can be expensive in some parts. Finally, I noticed that they used concrete to fix the roads. That's a confusing choice for a hot tropical place with an entire season dedicated to heavy rains. I am unsure if there are large temperature fluctuations in Freetown, but the higher one goes up the hill, we may see some dips in temperature overnight. I'm not an engineer, but I want to know how cement roads hold up in Sierra Leone. Great video, great weather, and a nice walk. Thank you, Triple-A, for all of your hard work and dedication.
