This makes us just....sad. we have been visiting Disney for over 40 years. They are just dumbing everything down. Anyone can go to a park in their town. People don't pay thousands of dollars to go there to sit in a park, which by the way is ugly. They have 100 percent lost Walts vision. Its not like they can't afford it but instead choose not to bring the magic! Close 5 rides and have 20 meet and greets! Outrageous. The wait times are beyond because they closed or canceled so many things. So disappointed.😢 oh wait lets charge people an astronomical amount of money and then make them buy Genie + every day so they can get on 3 rides in a week.No magic!

I never comment, but I so agree with you here. When I first walked into this new area I was shocked by the lack of shade. Who approved this? It is insane to me that this area was left wide open! We are in an area that gets a crazy amount of rain and incredible head-no awnings or coverings of any kind is nuts. I watched another vlogger give his opinion (#hosted by Disney) and shocker he thought it was amazing. Kristen please never stop being honest. It is so disheartening to see people sell out and say something that is obviously trash is amazing because they don’t want to lose their standing with Disney. Keep being honest, that is why we love you!

As evidenced by today. It legit rained all day. Not only would a covering of some sort protect us from the sun but also from the weather. I saw a video of the Encanto show being "performed" inside of CommuniCore today because of the weather & it somehow looked even worse than it does outside. Wait wait wait… so they tore down half of the communicore plaza, then built a communicore building and decorated part of the queue for the character meet &greet with depictions of all the memorable stuff they systematically removed from Epcot and didn’t replace over the years? Horizons, the butler, fountain of nations, dreamfinder ship…. LMAO… just making sure I understand! I can’t wait to make memories with my own kids over at Universal. I can also make memories at MCO terminal C and save a ton on Disney admission tickets for the Epcot terminal C.

The more I see of the videos our vloggers are making at the Asian parks the more wdw parks and refurbished resorts are looking like crap. No imagination, everything cheaply thrown together lacking the theming that Disney was once known for. This new area is pathetic especially after taking 5 yrs to build. That's because the Asian parks are not owned by Disney. They are owned by Asian theme park companies. Disney Imagineering just builds what they order.

The indoor seating area is the best thing about this update. How no one thought to have shade at that outdoor stage area is absolutely insane, especially with only one food stand. No drink or ice cream carts, or at least a place for bottled drinks? We are aiming on going to Disney next year with Epcot on our list, but seeing this update was such a disappointment. Thank you for your honesty, as always.

I REALLY hope that they listen to all of the comments about this area and add some type of shade to the stage area and fix the menu situation. I wholeheartedly agree with you! It looks like a convention Center! They didn’t put up a shady area, and not even benches! I’m sorry to say this, but Disney World is starting to do things as cheap as possible! I’ve been to Tokyo Disneyland and oh my, there’s no comparison! Everything is done to perfection and top quality! Like you said, I think their excuse is budget cuts and covid, but they could at least put some nice looking benches and some sort of permanent covering over the area, in case of rain, or direct sun.

That hallway & exit from the meet & greet is a real unimaginative let down. Could they not have large TV screens along the wall running Disney cartoons from the past featuring the characters you just met ? Music ? And an artistically painted Mickey & Minnie themed exit door ? Kudos to Disney for making the character meet & photo area pretty and very low maintenance.

No care went into the Epcot remaining. Budgets were massively cut. Budget was also waisted on Moana and the night-time show. Only part they got right was the entrance and the lights on Spaceship Earth.

I’m an OG Epcot girl - I love the nods to old Epcot in Communicore Hall, I love the exterior of the building. I agree with you on the rest. Forget the Encanto show and just have various live acts throughout the day - have bands representative of all the countries, just something else. The festival favorites was not what I expected either - I was hopeful that it would be offerings of well loved faves from all the fests. Why so much seating??? As much as I want to love it, it needs more thought and detail, in my opinion. Makes me sad to say that.
