Im a fan of the vintage hats, I like the low profile of the crown.. Unlike to days hats with the high crowns.. But the new ones do let your head breath better...

Love the vid, HTF. I collect vintage Yankees hats and I noticed the slight changes they made to the NY logo hat throughout the years. The hats from 92-95 have much smaller and flatter logos on the front compared to the hats made in the late 90s and 2000s. I personally prefer the logo style of the green and grey brims from 92-95. I have hats from 94 Your green brim Yankees hat is likely from 92 or 93 -according to Wikipedia- because the Yankees switched to grey brims in 94.

@mathewc23 I think I had heard that as well.. I know that the Fans AKA the buyers had that issue with the White band inside.. Also because of the 100% wool they were shrinking super fast so they had to change that as well.. Thanks for the Message and please sub if you haven't yet.. What i heard was that the players complained they got dirty too easily which is why the white inside got changed from white to black and the brims also

@Ronjuuheard2150 As you know the green brims are the hardest to find.... The gray brims you can find on Ebay.. But even those are hard to get.. If looking on Ebay always type in 100% wool new era fitted and Im sure you will find something... The gray brims just ended in 2006 I think if not it wasn't to long after that.. But yeah the greens will be the Hardest unless you get the Coopers town collection.. But sadly its not the same.. Then you have to find your size.. Thats rare to come by...

Older hats like early 90's like 91 and older didn't have the Mlb logo on the back.. So ya its all good.. But just make sure the the coopers town tag isn't on the inside.. Some of them didn't have the logo cause New Era wanted to make it as it was in that year... I hope ive helped you..

This was a very informative timeline. I went to a local store to try on some of today's hats. But I didn't like how they fit. The top was too spacious. White the sweatband fit just right. Are there any authentic hats that aren't made so roomy up top?

I just bought 94 yankee fitted how can I tell its fake it feels so lite n doesn't feel substantial it has a blue MLB logo on the back I thought they were all red white n blue how cant I tell if it is fake

@badgerhockey99 there are a few things I read about that.. The best one I got was New Era wanted to have a Brooklyn style hat and named it 5950 by by Harold Koch (ceo). My thought was the desgn of the hat and how it was put together stitch wise.. Bu other then that I'm not sure.. Good question

For the 2000 era, would you recommend sizing up? I got a Braves 7 1/4 from the authentic collection similar to your yankees and I swear it fits like a 1/8. Any tips/recommendations about sizing for older caps?

Hey bro I had a question.. What's the most you would pay for a leather sweat band new era 59fifty? I found an old sox hat mint condition with a leather sweat band and the dude wants 75. That's a little steep for me so I wanted your opinion? Thanks

I have paid 75 for a hat before.. I would base the price on how much i want it, how great of shape its in. We all have a price we are willing to spend.. But If the hat is in Amazing shape for a 30+ old hat.. Then he is right to ask for 75 if not more.. Just remember to buy a new hat today for an onfield is what like 40$.. So for an old vintage hat.. Its well worth what he is asking. Good luck and make the move that makes you happiest!
