I'd say my biggest issue with modern lipsyncs is not connecting with the song and instead doing tricks or reveals instead of giving the soul of the song

Completely agree. I think some of the queens believe stunts outweigh giving face, emotion, etc. Miz Cracker comes to mind and someone who does the tricks but looks dead behind the eyes so it comes off as cringe and uncanny. I think we're seeing a return to appreciating embodying the song with queens like Roxxxy on AS9

I agree, but I think different styles have validity in their own right. It does take a lot of talent and physical training to learn how to do stunts… well lol. No shade but some girls do these leg break shablams, meaningless reveals, and “bout to take a poop” duck walks that are, I believe, what makes a lot of people tired of stunts. But executed well, a stunt or reveal can sell the soul of the song. Sasha’s rose petals of course being the best example of this, but she did also sell the emotion.

Carmen's finale performance is one of my all-time favorites ever, top 3 all across the different franchises, I literally watch it constantly. After her win she visited Costa Rica and performed this number and did a variation of the wig reveal, where she removed the dry wig on top by splitting it in half, and brought the house down, it was simply beautiful

Yvie's reveal was to a wig cap, and it was great. Gala's was ripping apart a full-on stage prosthetics bald cap that she'd had on for hours with ZERO indication that there was a reveal wig UNDERNEATH the bald cap! Two different things entirely

I'm sorry you said these videos haven't been performing as well as others. I personally feel like your thumbnail looks AMAZING, the videos are WELL thought out, and it is fun to see. I do not know or have any suggestions where it might perform better. No notes. The only thing I could think of is maybe people leave the video because you can't show the clips of the actual lip sync so the algorithm doesn't suggest the videos because people leave when they see you wont play the videos? If you see people clicking off when the list starts, maybe that's it. That would make sense as I think the real fans are here and want to see it but they possibly don't go in their sub tab and instead go by the recommended videos. Any of the ways, I am so glad you made this series! I hope the algorithm changes so they can be more fruitful for you.

Also whilst not on 'it's chocolate'/golden beaver level, they did have to do a whole challenge in their entrance looks last season which was a first for any of the franchises. There is rarely a situation where someone is "pulling the race card" for absolutely ZERO reason and no true backing. There are, but those situations where race truly has nothing to do with it, not even a little bit, and the person is upset for no reason are very rare. Especially with the drag race fandom. Here's a few I would add in my personal opinion :)) Ruby vs Magnetica (France 3) - Personally felt that Ruby absolutely annihilated Magnetica. No shot for her to win that. Keoina vs Sara (France 2) - I mean come on, I forget Sara was there. Sagittaria vs Dovima (Espana 1) - We know what happened. Metamorkid vs Pandora & Yvonne (Germany 1) - This might be controversial but I really think Meta just won this lipsync by a mile. I fully thought she would win the season with this performance & the finale episode in general.

no no no no no sweet pea. Alesha Dixon out does vanity in moves and out does kylie in the sexy. Watch her in the N.E.R.D. Video for "She Wants To Move". It feels very 2ks version of Tiana Taylor in Kanyes "Fade" video. She has to stand in one place but still DELIVERS. She is an AMAZING dancer that does those strong moves while remaining very sexy and serves FACE! This is why you had to put her face in the vanity photos. She hyped up the moment to a 10. Her reactions boosted a 8 or 9 performance to a 10. All that being said, was there anyone else even on the stage with vanity? X'D. Sorry girl lol.
