Watching this before I spend damn near $100 on pens. Like I'm sorry, where else would that be normalized except in the planner community and possibly the engineering community (astronaut pen was a big hit w my dad- that's Seinfeld for reminding me about that gem lol)

I really wanted the gray and black list making markers but not all the others so I refrained at this time esp at the price point.

@@tanyagmarshall yes! I have the two from the surprise box and I use the circle but a box would be great a box and a check mark. Like actually what if you could select or swap the stamps ! That would be dope

Hello Tanya! Thank you for this informative video. I’m a first-time EC user- order is an international shipment & can’t wait to receive May 6th! I’ve ordered the dual tip list markers because I’ve never seen anything like this before! I suspected the ball points are all about the packaging. They don’t look comfy to hold and write for long… now I see they don’t write nicely either. There were hardly any differences with your comparisons and if the prices are higher now, then in my opinion, it’s not worth it.

The list markers are pretty neat, but be sure to apply pressure firmly and slowly to get even distribution. Hope you enjoy all your EC items. 🤗

I'm wondering if you can replace the ink in the $18.50 EC pens with a better quality ink, ball point or perhaps a gel pen cartridge for those of us that are not keen on ball point?

I changed the mid century circle ball point pen to a gel refill and has never been happier. The pen was free from previous EC release and I don’t think I’m willing to pay 18.50 for it. I’m a gel pen through and through.

Do the List Markers still bleed through the page?

No, not when I use them on Erin Condren planners and notebooks. They do bleed through regular notebook paper.

Thanks for sharing! I got the 12 pack of list markers, and I'm finding that they are bleeding through and/or not stamping evenly. :( The colors are beautiful, and I really like the idea of them! Maybe I need to just practice with them a bit more. Did you find that the ones you already have bleed through at all?

I haven't noticed any bleeding through, but I do have to press firmly and slowly to get even distribution. 😕

I appreciate you doing this video. I feel like Aaron Erin condemn has good planners, but everything else tends to be really really cheap and a poor quality. Everything I order besides the planners ends up disappointing me. I don’t like the pens, Any when you ask says thesticky notes aren’t sticky, and all of their other accessories you can tell were made for pennies on the dollar in marked up beyond reason.

@@tanyagmarshall Pentel energel clena, muji, inkjoy… lots of others…. Mildliners beat any of ECs highlighters hands down

EC has yet to put the color name on ANY of the pens they sell. On the pens with the clear lids, there is no reason why they can not put the color name on the barrel. No reason to put the word "fine" on it. We can see thru the lid and see that already.

@@tanyagmarshall - It is not that hard to take off some of the decorations on them and put on the color name. But they have yet to do it. I have even mentioned it to a rep in chats before. And not gotten anywhere with it.

Why would someone pay $18.50 for the "sophistication" of a cardboard box with a ball point pen in it? I hear the same spiel from everyone about the EC ball point pens, "they make great gifts", etc. Just how many have you actually purchased and give out as gifts? And not gotten them for free for being an affiliate?

You make a good point about the cardboard box! 😆 I've actually purchased a handful of them as gifts, but I wait until there's a big sale, then I stack a 20% off coupon with it. EC also gives an extra 15% off when you buy 4 or more accessories. So, honestly I've never paid $18.50 for one because I shop sales with coupons. 🙌🏾

I had really high hopes for the new gel pens…should have taken a pass. Their dual tip focused collection highlighters are nice though. I also like the traditional dual tip markers and the fine liners.

I agree, I do love their dual-tip regular markers. I’m satisfied with the mini gel pens so I won’t be getting the latest set. ☺️
