Also got 10 empty boards from PCBWay. Still waiting for some components. I'm sure it took a lot of work and iterations to get to the current layout! And that's only the hardware part.. I'm planing on using it for a Tamiya 1850L (my first truck) and also maybe later on a crawler.

Greetings Martin! I need your assistance. I am a recently diagnosed Parkinson’s Disease patient and my ability to decipher instructions is increasing difficult as time passes. I am building 1:32 scale slot car transport vehicles and I am confused about what controllers to use. I have made significant progress but I am at the stage where I need to integrate the electronic components and control devices. I found your videos after starting these projects and realizing that I was in well over my head. But I rely on these diversions to exercise my mind and to keep the PD symptoms from dictating/limiting my abilities. Thanks for sharing this awesome project. I am building a wooden Semi and Trailer for my toddler grandson and wanted to add some realistic sounds to the project. I came across this and I am very impressed. I do not want to make this a remote controlled vehicle - at least not yet. Thus I was wondering, if this would work by connecting a rotary input sensor that could detect direction and speed to automatically control the sounds - idle, accelerating, decelerating, brakes, etc.? I could add a switches for power, horn, and lights. Also, can I buy the fully assembled board?

Hello my friend, you really are a master, you did great! Tell me one thing, some toys have, instead of a servo for steering, small DC motors with "half moon" gears. I've been studying for a while how to modify the software to use a second ESC with RZ7886 for this toy. How much would this modification to your code "cost"? This controller does not have a ESC (electric speed controler) built in to it. This board is for the sounds and Lights only.

Hello sir, your project so great! I'm currently making an 3 wheels electric bike for my children. that the motor speed controlled by a hall sensor , the signal output is analog 0 to 5v. My idea is use the analog input on esp32 to control engine sound, the horn controlled by digital input pin. Hi I bought the pcb and assembled it well, everything is working but I have an issue with the engine turning off automatically every time, I'm using radiomaster tx16s transmitter, in sbus connection, I'm also trying to post in the forum but the register email never arrive to my Gmail account so I can't post anything, I have also checked the code for auto engine on off but is commented out, I need help how can write to the forum? I just have made the PCB like you so when i used visual studio code for my board esp32, it still work when i turned on PPM mode on TX fly sky i6, i really want PWM mode for my board so it didn't work ( SBUS, IBUS, SUMD and PPM are disabled following the instruction) Please help me fix it. Hi! I've just ordered the parts to this however I'm looking at finding sounds for a series 60 Detroit engine and a C15 CAT, are these 2 engine you plan to do? If not would it be possible to produce a tutorial on going through what's involved and how to do everything necessary? I've been trying to recreate some trucks with sedimentary value and these are the last 2 things I need to mark off the list. Hey DIYGUY, I really like your stuff, I am going to be working on a new Grand Hauler and building my own custom double trailer, I see your controller(Tx) is different in this video than the one with the flames on it, which one is better for a truck trailer setup. what make and models are they? which video of yours is the one that shows how to modify for a semi truck, with the lights and fifth wheel control and landing gear control? is there a video that shows how to upload your programms to the boards? The controllers are DIY as well. Just the housings are from WLtoys. You can find the data on my GitHub. Unfortunately I don't have a dedicated video about them, but the innards are similar as in my Micro RC transmitter, just using an Arduino Pro Mini and wire connections instead of a PCB.

How much different are the previous boards released. As in, can you mix and match on trucks or equipment (obviously excluding the wireless part) I am not sure if you gave them version numbers or not.

Yes, you can mix the board versions. You can even use wireless with the old board as well. Obviously you can't use the LCD or the Neopixels with the old board, unless you are soldering the wires directly to the according pins.

I made an order on the PCBWAYs , in your guide. But this wasn't the newest board? Little confusing, does the old board support this wireless trailer? Bought 5 PCB, so hope i can use it for my own 3D designed excavator.

In one of his replies above he states that you can do wireless with the old boards as well. As the ESP32 chips have built in WiFi and that is what he is using so they can talk to each other. So with that any version of his boards should talk to each other. I have not tried yet but plan to as I have several of the Ver 1 and ver 2 boards

Boards looks great, I ordered 10 of them to use several trailers, trucks and excavator. But I have trouble with ESP32. after uploading, nothing happens. I tried the "blinking led tool" and all is working fine, every single led lights for 1 second sequentially. In normal operation, I should have blue led/ indicator leds blinking until It receive SBUS signal, but nothing happens. I used all the same parameters (uploaded from IDE 2.0.3 with ESP32 dev Module defined), I tried on a V1 and V3 esp32 board. Tried on 2 of the board I oredered in cas I had made a mistake with soldering boards. Getting crazy. Any clue ?

Finally fixed the issue. The battery_protection was hanging the esp as I had no esc and voltage was detected as 1.83V (do not know why, I have a 2S battery connected to the regulator). So much possibilities. Time to customize lights section as I'm using a taranis X9D transmitter

@@TheDIYGuy999 The scania V8 openpipe is insane. I like all the possibilities you have implemented. It's by far the best sound and light device I have ever seen, better than the so expensive MFC Tamyia advices to use. Very good job. I plan to use channel 5 and 6 for my gearbox lever control inside the cab so the pilot's arm is moving when changing gear. Video when I have made it.

Your mosfet may be wrong. You need a logic level one, for example IRLZ44N. IRFZ44N is not suitable. Or the values in the shaker tab may be too low.

In spite of several attempts and I think close following of the instructions, I am unable to get the sound system to work. I am using Arduino 1.8.18. I have opted for the URAL375 and am using a classic PWM receiver Spektrum AR410. I only need sound and a horn. I believe I have set the vehicle.h and remote.h correctly. No other changes made. The program compiles well and uploads satisfactorily to the ESP32 Dev kit. The symptom I have is no sound but only a clicking that occurs about once per second. Is there some switch to start things off? I tried to join the discussion and support thread but was rejected because of my email address. Anyone have any ideas?

You need to use the correct Espressif ESP32 board version. I strongly recommend to use VS Code instead of Arduino, it is way easier, because the correct board version and libraries are selected automatically.

Well I tried VS Code and as you say it is much faster to use. However when I start I get sco.ino showing 114 errors! These inlude undefined sample rates and MAX_RPM_PERCENTAGE and similar parameters. I cannot find where to set these various parameters. Can you point me in the right direction?
