It's really mesmerising to think this was a water filled dock.i've followed the build from the beginning,with the dredger bringing sand in from the irish sea,to what we see now.what a great feat of engineering to get it to this,laing O'Rourke can be proud of this beauty.

Anyone else think the stadium looks incredible however the inside bare roof and roof structure could have some sort of cladding or architect design to make the inside look better/finished?

That section of the flat roof has already been screeded? It's definitely a different shade to the other parts.
@midlandjediСағат бұрын
Not sure if it is just my bad eyesight, but the roof at the South East end (10:27}, where they were sweeping up looks grey, and a diffrent colour compared to the North East end, where the scaffolding is. Does this mean this area (SE end) has been screeded and its just the main roof, over the club shop, and the NE end roof that needs to be screeded ? Again, aplogies if its just my old eyes
@SeymourScagnettiСағат бұрын
Looks like it’s just been cleaned to me, ready to be screeded.
@DarrenCowzer-cx7ot2 минут бұрын
It looks as though they applied a light grey screed, I wonder would that be a base coat, as we've been told that the final finish will be a darker grey?

When it comes to the grass seeding an area that big can take a couple of go overs
@ritahamblin104334 минут бұрын
Yes that's a grate idea especially if it turns out to be Everton v Liverpool. Wouldn't worry to much about the edge or the pitch it will come and the advertising boards are still to be put around the pitch. Can believe that Q,. Asking you to go voyeur 😂😂😂😂😂.

Did anyone notice the crane where the office compound is, it looks like they were removing some of the yellow container offices on the left as you see it from the front of the stadium, great video Nick
@petermorris5957Сағат бұрын
They are the portakabin boxes for the new contractors who will be carrying out the commissioning work on behalf of the club- installing the Everton Way etc etc.

Hi Nick, great video as ever, during the bit wher you were talking about the LoR offices,there was a crane and some yellow containers,are they being removed or installed, don’t seem to remember them being there previously
@andymd3573 сағат бұрын
New containers next to the laing O'Rourke ones. Do you think they could be for when Everton take over the site and thats where the workers will be.

Yep your watch along's have been grim goal wise for us Toffee's and the next few games are going to be challenging for all of us. Hopefully this will change....lol

As for the waters oozing in, it will have vacuum pumps that should have cut in automatically, maybe they were not in service, a mistake by the developer, as it was the perfect time to see if it is up to the job.

@JayEFC19692 сағат бұрын
They might be potential sites for statues but Everton have not detailed if there will be statues there at opening.

Great work, Will the helipad next to the river only be used on match day. That's a big H for some big helicopters 😮
@IanConcannonСағат бұрын
Not sure mate. It might be air ambulance only.
@catchepicair44 минут бұрын
I would have thought the scaffolding was to protect the stadium from birds roosting so installing netting and limiting perching opportunities. We seen it done near the end of the Anfield Road shortly before handover.
@pleasantville4529Сағат бұрын
The materials on the flat roof in the north east corner don't look like "tube and fitting scaffold" as some suggest. It looks far too large in diameter for it to be scaffold, leading me to think it may be the permanent RWPs for the vast roof area. Up to this point, I can only assume that there has been some temporary rainwater system in place.

Great video as always Nick. Does anyone know if we'll get notification of where our stones will be placed on Everton way? Keep up the great work, you've been part of the build as much as LOR 👍👍
@craigwooton10302 сағат бұрын
You would hope that we get some sort of foot print area where our stones would be laid
@DarrenCowzer-cx7ot40 минут бұрын
Yes - it was confirmed in an email a long time ago, similar to the Fan Wall - you'll get guide coordinates, there would be a crush if 22,000 x people had to search for their's without it.

Have we had a close look at the lower seats either side of the tunnel in the north west corner in a previous video i missed? They look a bit squeezed in from a distance.

Are the sides of the pitch angled up on a hill like at Old Trafford or is it completely flat?
@DarrenCowzer-cx7ot45 минут бұрын
It's relatively flat, as there is an advanced multi layer drainage system beneath the surface.

Hi Nick. Great video once again. Once the stadium is in use next season will us fans be allowed around the stadium area outside or will it be closed off unless there’s a match or event?
@DarrenCowzer-cx7ot37 минут бұрын
The Stadium area will be open, the Club Shop is in the centre at the front, there will also be bars and restaurants and function rooms etc. The Western Steps may be closed off in bad weather etc.

Hope we don’t have problems with the pitch like Ajax had when they built there stadium
@DarrenCowzer-cx7ot35 минут бұрын
They're expecting 10 or 15 years with issues such as settling, the pitch will need heavy work for each of those years, especially as it's a reclaimed Dock.

The pitch still looks bad and the grass on the edges looks weak
@craigwooton10302 сағат бұрын
At least 5 months for the grass to grow before it will ever be used
@garethparry6673Сағат бұрын
18:25 that mark on the pitch made by the tractor looks like a tear drop shape, is it a prediction of the future? 😂😂. The grass shouldn’t be an issue as Everton have until July time to get it fully covered unless they dramatically decided to move earlier. which I can’t see ever happening.

Absolutely rubbish to say the rain system isn't fully connected, why not. One thing you do as early as possible is make it watertight. The things almost done electrics are in and it's all painted. The thing clearly isn't working properly
@davidmorris505330 минут бұрын
Agreed. Why risk damage to the completed concourse bellow. Has there been any damage. Also they don't appear to be having the same issue with the west stand.
@azul412 сағат бұрын
Hi Nick, can you have a look at the edges of the pitch. The area beyond the artifical grass, is the blue strips gravel?
@vapeymcvape50002 сағат бұрын
5:29 East Stand barrell cladding still has diamond shapes missing. It's the first thing visitors will see and it looks terrible. Hopefully "construction complete" means they'll not be there anymore.
@richosborne21542 сағат бұрын
They are for ventilation and will not disappear. Neither should they. I mean, if that's the biggest issue you can find, I'd say they've done an incredibly impressive job. Still, I suppose some moaners will never be happy! 😂
@DarrenCowzer-cx7ot30 минут бұрын
As Rich said, they're air vents, there will be catering facilities below these, and there are far more of them on the West barrel cladding, where there are more restaurants and cooking facilities.
