What did we learn from this video? According to Tim: 1, Don't dipbuy mid-day, afternoon or late-day panic. Next day in the first few minutes of the panic people put in stop losses and they create a tsunami of sellers. 2, After a big dip if there are 2 or 3 dips (bouncing ball effect), they usually end up badly. Tim, it'd be nice if you made like a short summary at the end of your videos for those who take notes. Something like in The Complete Penny Stock Course book.

Hi.. does the morning panic happen to certain stocks or almost all stocks but it just regards of certain period for the morning panic to repeat? If you don't answer this it mean the answer is in your video lesson.. for time being i just follow it slowly.. i don't want to get frustrated when knowing i can make profit but the liquidity isn't available yet.. once I'm ready i can watch it for almost whole day.. 20% profit is good enough as long you can constantly make it.. 500-1k profit a day is already a happy ending to me.. lol

When you trade these patterns and I have seen alot of them since watching your videos. Do you use the 1 minute or the 5 minute. I ask because Steven sux says never to trade the first 5 minutes of open as a tip so I was curious on what chart time frame you use
@KraftyDubstep6 жыл бұрын
R. Trade 1 Minute. If you had used the 5 min chart you would have missed the signal for the move upside and entered on a much higher risk level than necessary.
@rahiem32726 жыл бұрын
@@KraftyDubstep can you explain what mean in depth by missing signal. What signal should I look for
@KraftyDubstep6 жыл бұрын
Based on your response I am going to assume you are very new to trading. So I will write this comment for you or anyone else who is new and looking to take a deeper dive into the analysis of the video. What I meant in my previous comment is that a 5min chart sometimes does not provide enough information to get into a trade. Others argue that a 1min chart provides too much information and adds arbitrary market noise. Hypothetical example: If this move happened in the first 5 minutes of market open (which it didn't) then you would have seen just one big red 5min candle and you would have lost that opportunity to trade the move if it had bottomed out. On a one minute chart there may have been some signal to justify your entry into a position. The solution for this is to use several different time frame charts to cross reference and analyze potential setups. Also, I mean signal in a very broad term. A signal can be any set of rules you have made for yourself as a point of entry on a trade. For some people they look for patterns, others learn to read the tape, others trade just price action and volume, and some just swing trade support and resistance. Everyone's rules are different and that is what you will have to figure out for yourself (basically which style of trading suits your personality/tendencies/discipline and set rules accordingly). What works for one person may not necessarily work for another. For example: One person might have used just the daily gap down as an entry signal to go short. Another may have used the break of the previous day's low to get in short, or they may have used any other signal they've come up with. Of course it's nowhere near as easy as I've just described, but depending on your risk level tolerance these are elementary descriptions of what some traders do. Giving away any more information at this point would literally ruin the fun of learning how to trade. I suggest you buy some books and get your fundamentals down in conceptual trading/technical analysis so you can learn to effectively read charts and create entry/exit signals for yourself. Hint* The start of every learning process is first admitting that you know nothing. Learning to read charts accurately is not easy, and learning to trade and apply that chart reading skill simultaneously is even harder. Luckily anyone can learn if they are willing to put in the work. It took me years of daily chart analysis and trial and error just for it to "click" and actually start to make sense. Then another year of testing strategies and tracking statistics to find out which ones worked for me. Best of luck on this exciting journey, never give up, and if you would like any book recommendations I would be more than happy to provide some.
@rahiem32726 жыл бұрын
@@KraftyDubstep thanks for your amswer. I have been trading for a year now recently day trading. I have some experience in reading charts etc.. though not am expert. What I have noticed and agree with you that the 1 min has too much info and the 5 min not enough info. So i have been struggling to use both charts together since both pain different pictures. I also like your definition of signal that made it very clear for me. Lastly what are good books to read
@KraftyDubstep6 жыл бұрын
R. Trade Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets - John J. Murphy and The Art and Science of Technical Analysis - Adam Grimes. They are both pretty difficult reads but are in my opinion, the Holy Grails of chart analysis. The book by Murphy is more focused on fundamentals and how they work. The latter builds on concepts from the first book by providing more depth into trade theory, common strategies and reading price action. I would recommend reading each of the books minimum 2-3 times fully through as new concepts and bits of information make themselves more apparent after each read. Both books are a must have. If you are looking for trading psychology & strategy look no further than Momo Traders - Bao Nyugen, The Disciplined Trader & Trading in the Zone - Mark Douglas, and Reminiscences of a Stock Operator - Edwin Lefevre. Same thing with these books, pure gold in terms of informational value, and no BS.

Reason being I’m from South Africa and trying to figure out if our own market (Johannesburg Stock Exchange) has similar market dynamics (ie “penny stocks”, extreme volatility, volumes, etc.) Being a much much smaller market, would I be able to pull off some of the things you can do in the US? So, as you mentioned in this video from 18:30 to about 19:05, it's now the fall of 2019 (close enough) . Is this still as relevant a pattern as it was a year ago? Or maybe I should phrase it as "still the hottest pattern a year later". Tim, I have been looking for a different path to focus on, on a new career for a few different reasons , but I seem to keep coming back to you and what you offer. I know I w/c/&sh/ould be a great trader. I have watched a fair amount of your vids now, maybe 50 or 60 . And I think I'm going to take the plunge. It's not going to be easy b/c I still have a family to support during my "education" , but It can be done, and i can do it. So idk, basically I'm just saying, wish me luck! Keep an eye for me ( Uncle_Sam ) and once i invest my hard earned money into my education, I.E your DVDs, Profitly plan, to name a couple which quite frankly that $$$ could easily go towards bills, i really hope that when I try to get into your challenge you or someone of your same caliber will take me under your wing. I've got too much to lose to not make this happen the right way. You might not even read this comment , but if you do, just want to say thank you for your contributions to helping others. It Shows good character that your not so self centered and selfish and that you invest so much into helping others. Hopefully I can take advantage the knowledge your giving out. Well I'm rambling now, I gtg to work. Thankyou Tim
