These new function are really terrific. Good video, Leila! Hot tip: if you want to avoid having to press up-arrow or hunt with the mouse EVERY time you invoke a formula, you can make change the setting in File | Options | Advanced | Editing options and remove the checkmark for 'After pressing Enter'.

Nearing retirement I'm at the same time amazed and saddened that my excel skills keep becoming less valuable as Excel becomes smarter and easier to use for beginners. Years ago, all my dsum, dget, daverage tools almost become obsolete with pivot tables. Filters and other features were also a nice addition, but I sometimes miss being the only person able to do analysis of large data files. ;-)

This was fantastic and a big time saver. I usually face issues with Data import from csc to text. The data never gets imported in the column correctly. Do you hv a solution to this? Also, I have to send mails to multiple Clients informing about any change. I can mail merger the info in letter but how do I send them mail instead of making a mail attaching the word file and then click on send. It’s very time consuming

Great video about a powerful and useful function. I started using the day it was released,! No compaison to Text-to-Column (RIP). Keeps PQ at bay in many situations where we were previously forced to use it. Muvh more efficient than PQ for many transformations.

Leila - I enjoy seeing the new functions, and hope they will be out of Beta soon. I am a bit hesitant on getting the Insider track on products. A year ago, I had a Windows 10 laptop with the Insider preview. When it expired, the only option appeared to be a clean reinstall. While this is Office rather than the O/S, stability is a concern as I rely on my devices always being available and the software performing as expected for my business. Thank you for the informative videos.

You can do a lot of this already using the "text to columns" feature in the data tab and the nested functions =search,=left,=mid=, and =right. For separating cells with multiple delimiters you might be able to insert the =or function.

One Issue I experienced was, that all this wouldnt work. And using Bings AI, I could finally resolve it. The separator that is used here is the „comma“. On my system it was set to „semicolon“. So it wouldnt for the life of it accept the formulas but always guve an error. So Bing „told“ me to switch my systems „list separator“ to „comma“. And BAM! How great is that?? And who set it to smicolon in the first place? Using US-English as language, time and date as used in Germany. For whatever reasons. So, thx to Leila and Bing.
