I understand staying on the lowest firmware is best to avoid unforseen issues but I have to wonder, why not delay ota to 16.5 so that you can reap the benefits of a newer OS and a jailbreak?

Because there is no jailbreak for 16.5 yet. It’s a gamble unfortunately. I think this will evolve into a jailbreak but there is always a chance I’m wrong

Hi so i bought a iphone x recently and unfortunately oi didnt know it was locked The phone didnt have a way to update the software on the device which this being my first iphone i didnt realize that meant it was previously bypassed i used 3utools to update it to 1os 16.6 and now it has a locked to iphone screen is there anything i can do Owner has blocked me and since this is the only phone i have and im in matric its extremely important that i get it unlocked so i can receive my school notifications again

I’ve had blobsaver save most of the iOS 16 versions for me. Will I be able to update to one of those unsigned versions in the future when the new jailbreak is released? I’m on iPhone 13 15.0 and don’t want to lose my jailbreak right now, but would like to be on a newer firmware with a jailbreak in the future. Been so long since I’ve used blobs to update/downgrade I forget how it’s done or if it’s even still possible haha but I’ve been saving the blobs!
