Hi! I hope you enjoyed this video as much as I am enjoying a more peaceful minimalistic bathroom! 😆🌻💛 What should I do next??? More decluttering??? Some house cleaning motivation??? I’m kind of scared to get into the bigger rooms of the house (we actually have a fairly small house, only 1,000 sq. foot) like the living room (mainly because it’s so mismatched with random furniture that I don’t know how to make it look better or minimalist or calming) or the bedroom…. Also not the style of furniture we want but… don’t have a million dollars to go buy all new furniture! 🤣 For some reason that really holds me back. As if furniture should hold me back from decluttering!! I think I just need to get over myself and my desire for perfectionism even more! 🤣 Anyways, THANK YOU for being here and cheering me on and helping to keep me motivated. I hope my videos motivate you too! 💛

Don't be afraid to put out the content, it just shows you're real! Mismatched furniture or not I'm sure it'll be good motivation!

Late comment. Lovely improvement to the vanity. Would like to suggest removal of the soap dispenser label. It distracts the eye from the decorative tile backsplash.

You can hang your loofahs off the taps so that you can get rid of the caddy.
@SimpleLifing3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t even think of that, good idea! 😆 But I’m not sure if it would bug me to have them there or if I’d prefer a hook away from the taps…. 🤔 Wouldn’t hurt to try though!

I recently started wiping my sink and shower down with a microfibre cloth after each use, and that means i don't need to do a deep clean any more. For me, the little time it takes is well worth not having to do a more thorough clean.

I found the bathroom easy to minimize once I started using low waste products, such as toothpaste tablets, shampoo/conditioners bar, body soap, simple coconut oil as a lotion and makeup remover. Menstrual cup or panties (and the are eligible with hsa/fsa so budget friendly), you also dont have "empties" floating around because the packaging is compostable/recycle.
@SimpleLifing3 жыл бұрын
I love this idea! Question on the coconut oil though, how do you keep it from staining your clothing/bedsheets? Or do you just use a tiny tiny amount? I have super dry skin and always feel like I need a lot of whatever moisturizer I’m using!
@rh79683 жыл бұрын
@@SimpleLifing I have not noticed any staining but I only really use a small amount leaving the house, no moisturizing before bed or anything.

Oh yay! Someone to do this with!! I’m so glad you’re here and I hope you get lots of motivation from the videos. Are you focusing on a specific room in your home or does the whole place need decluttering like mine does? 😁

Those white interlocking drawer dividers are actually costing you a lot of space in that drawer. Maybe get stacking trays instead, since the drawer is deep. For your in-use towels, I would take out the bottom open shel and replace it with a towel bar.

I think the plant looks super cute but I would hang way higher, you don't want little one to pull on it. And it would draw the eye up. A candle and a picture would look cute on top shelf. A DIY with little one - buy some acrylic paint in bathroom colors, you could also add like a bronze or gold too whatever you like best, put some drops of paint on the poster board and walk your little one thru it and wash feet after, let dry trim and frame it! You'll get a sentimental abstract perfect matching colors but art work made by your baby :-)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the hanging plant! That’s a good point about the baby pulling it down. She’s not standing yet so can’t reach it as is, but that day will be here before I know it I am sure! And what a sweet idea for the art!! That would be very meaningful. ☺️

Looks beautiful!👏👏I like your style❤️Now you asked about the hanging plant… I think you should take it down😅but I’m also very minimalistic😅
@SimpleLifing3 жыл бұрын
Thanks!! Yeah I’m still up in the air on that hanging plant. I don’t want to overdo it. I’m giving it a few days to see how it feels. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I’m not sure. Being very minimalistic, even decor can be too much I can imagine. Someone still has to dust and maintain it all! 😆 People used to pick on us for not having much on our walls, pictures, etc.., but that doesn’t bother me anymore because now with a minimalist mindset, it’s just more peaceful with less 🌻 Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment! 💛
@zsuzsannabak15303 жыл бұрын
Totally agree, gett8ng done is more important than waiting for the perfect set-up. Also maybe you do not need decor there, maybe just a shelf in the shower for storage.

Thanks for all your thoughtful suggestions and thanks for being here and taking the time to comment! I’ve been working hard at shifting my mindset when it comes to decluttering, just as you said, to get done rather than be perfect! 💛

“I’m just embracing my paleness”. Yes!!! Haha. I’ve been saying for years that my glow in the dark body refuses to let me be any other way. I burn and go back to glowing white again lol.
@SimpleLifing3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha I totally get that! Nothing wrong with being pale! It does feel like glow in the dark sometimes doesn’t it!? 🤣🤣🤣 Fake tanning just takes SO MUCH maintenance and I guess I’m just not that type of person, at least not at this stage in my life (I wish I were sometimes haha!).
