I recently moved, it's been a month now. I have 3 boys, 2 teenagers and one toddler. Omg, the most stressful thing I have been through 🤣. It took me around 5 days to get the kitchen how I wanted and I'm still shuffling things around, making lists of what organisers I need to purchase etc. I did the bathrooms in 1 day, that wasn't too difficult. My next job was the boys bedrooms. Both older boys did their own but I would go in and out directing and advising and then changing things up. They learnt some life skills through this I hope! My bedroom was last. We kind of lived out of bags for 2 weeks. Then started unpacking. I cant sit still without organising my surroundings otherwise I feel like a hot mess! I love your new kitchen 😍, well done Tiffany, you did awesome! X

After the kitchen take care of the kids rooms. I realised that moving for them is easier when they have their rooms as a "save place",as their "home". Afterwards the bathroom. Cause you all are using them. Then the rest. And you will reorganize your kitchen a lot. Daily use will show what's working and what doesn't. And I did one room at a time. Good luck and stay calm. I didn’t want the video to end!!! I also unpack my kitchen, get cable/internet/electronics all set up and beds within 1-2 days of moving. Then do closets and the rest of the house. When I moved I did kitchen first too! And then oddly I did clothing closets, then linen closet. The house was a mess but having everyones clothes hung up and organized and the kitchen all put together made living so much easier while we focused on everything else after!

Hi! Your home is beautiful! We moved one year ago this month. I set up one room completely that I could relax in and go to amid the chaos. It really helped to know it was finished with no boxes. Then I went room to room. I’m still moving things around trying to see what fits best. I’ve even switched out rugs that I had originally bought as I’m now getting the feel for my space. I love your new kitchen. Do you prefer your new cabinets instead of drawers? When we remodeled our kitchen we did all drawers on bottom and I find it so much easier than having bottom cabinets. I know you had primarily drawers in your old kitchen

After the kitchen, I usually set up the laundry room because laundry never ends! Also, I make sure tools are accessible. Setting up a new house requires a lot of tools! (picture hanging etc.)

The couple times I moved with my 4 kids (I'm a single mom). I always started with the kitchen then went to the kids rooms and got them unpacked quickly so they had someplace to go and keep them entertained and out of my way. Then I did the bathrooms, and everything else. My room was always last. It was not as important for me to be unpacked before the rest of the house.

Wow! You are so organized. Kitchen looks awesome!! One tip that I’ve give to many many People. Cut off all tops of plastic, wrap, tin foil, baggies etc. Then they never get caught Up in your drawer. I designed my own kitchen.Married to a Architect. Yes, all drawers are so much better And easier to get too things. No bending. However, builders don’t do all drawers unless You request it. It’s also more costly for the client. So you did a great job Tiff. Jojo

Your kitchen is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! When we moved it was get kitchen unpacked AFTER all the beds set up for everyone. Maybe the kids'playroom next because that room will keep them very busy. Your clothes are on hangers in bags. Just hang them up and cut the bags off. Chris will set up his own closet. You don't have much for your closet past your clothes. If Chris can break down boxes, maybe you can attack getting the kids' clothes put away in their new rooms. That is what we did when we moved. This gets your house in a functioning state. The kids bathrooms will take a short time to set up. Don't forget to rest! Take naps when the kids do. Naps help them with the stress of moving. Congratulations on all the great things happening for you and Chris and your kids! No apologies! You've worked your hind ends off! Enjoy this special time in your life that is so well deserved. Amazing! I always unpack the kitchen first and then bedrooms...specifically the kids rooms so they can feel at home quicker. I also unpack toys fast too so they can have their things. I have some kids that are high anxiety and need their things to feel more comfortable. But I just do the best I can and focus on whatever feels pressing that day. Unpacking is so fun but can also feel so stressful!

Looks awesome!! Sooo much bigger all around! As per moving priorities... We packed suitcases for 2 weeks! Lived out of them ie a vacation. Did the kitchen & got all the fridge cleaned and stocked to make affordable family meals! Next ... set up parents/Master BR... gotta get restful sleep... then the baby... then the other kids... beds..... again dress out if the suitcases.... Next the baths/showers... gotta get clean & make you feel clean w/ all the unpacking!! Then the closets... 💜 how you did the hanging clothes! It’s THE way to make a bear of a task bearable!! Then... the parents.. infant clothing... then the middle and older boys clothes... then the garage... ie freezers & cars inside & protected... ... tools to manicure the yard... PS:: Chris .. you’re the bomb for unpacking to let her place close where things will be used! Would have installed spongy shelf paper... first!! Things don’t slip Around!! Make a place for a notebook for all your manuals... eventually you WILL need them... staple the receipt to the cover & slip in a sheet protector and place in notebook!! Cookbooks too! Then the dining room ... then The Family room... then the office... Then the living room... don’t know how many rooms you have... but will also be downsizing my Mom.. yo a 2BR condo from a 4 BR 2 Bath house w/ dining room and gas insert fireplace! Mom loves that! She’s always cold! Loves her plants!! Have male friends who volunteered to move her... move my Sisters things to Wherever ( she died 12-19-20) put her & Moms home in the market too! Then.... by that time taxes... and death carts.. will be issued to close things legally. I’ve put my life on hold!! Moms scared to be alone at night... so we (Sis remaining) & I have taken turns staying w/ her and doing her groceries etc! We now have to throw in another move! My 27.5 yo Niece (MD) has to move to TX to complete her surgical training; her Residency (5 yrs) in General surgery... then 2 yrs in Peds Urology! Soo she is going to be 1.5 hrs from where I grew up! About a 6 hr driving trip back home! Sooo LOTS of moving! She never did much herself... so she will he schooled in where & why! You new house is awesome! Take lots of photos of the stages!! Forgot.. get your Laundry-room set up ASAP! Keep Up w/ your laundry as you go!! Yeah!! Enjoy! M

When we moved, the kitchen and the beds were the first to unpack and set up. My husband was in charge of the large items... large furniture and electronics. I did the smaller stuff.. closets and kitchen items. We moved our 2400 square foot house from Florida to Pennsylvania and unpacked in 2 days

We have moved house quite a lot and are building a new house due autumn 2021. What we usually do, is have the sitting room and the kids bedrooms finished first. Kitchen is important to be able to heat up some food and have school containers etc ready to go. But the baking area etc is no priority for me. It does look pretty and is a nice thing to organise but priority for us is always kids rooms. We plan to start floorings upstairs and downstairs first, then move in the bedrooms and the couch. Next is the installing of the kitchen and the bike shed etc. Next is making everything pretty. Enjoy your new home!

Military wife here who moves a lot!!! I always start with the kitchen and bathrooms, then I move to the living room and kids rooms, and my master, office and all of that after. I pretty much do the rooms that would cause me the most anxiety if I can’t find what I’m looking for. And I always finish a room once I start, I never bounce around unless I absolutely have to

You’re probably going to find a random piece of tape in your fridge when you clean it 😂 we thought we took all of our tape off until we cleaned it and found more

They TAPE EVERY INCH of new appliances... I still find new plastic that I didn't even realize was there.. even after cleaning it many times 😂
