My Son bought a 2024 F350 Dually...He used it to Pull a 40 ft Big Tex 22 GN trailer to The NATIONAL Farm Show to Pick up a New Krone Round Baler, He bought for a spare.....

Not required for Ag involved vehicles. He was at a fuel stop one night and the State D.O.T man pulled up and informed him he was going to inspect the truck/trailer.... untill he walked around front and saw the farm tag...... Closed his clipboard and told my Son that he couldn"t inspect the truck/trailer.... got in his car and left...... This was the IH OTR truck and 53 ft box van.......

Three things we stay on top of is Tires, Brakes and lights......... We have an assistant that is part of the Haying operation that is also a Certified OTR owner - operator who Teaches CDL qualification driving at the local Tech school.... plus I worked for a National Truck leasing Company for 10 years....

I’m split between this truck or the Chevy, I’ve been a ford guy my entire life and haven’t had any big issues with the 6.7 PS, the only thing that’s drawing me to look into the Chevy is the 4x4 in the 6500 and the crew cab option, I’m a welder and I would be using the truck for play and work, in your opinion if your Chevy was a 24 with this bed on it would you take the Chevy or the ford?

Watch my other videos on the the chevy 6500 it’s been broke for a year and a half. My buddy is a big chevy guy drives two of them and he is taking a delivery on a F600 this week. Because of my problems and another guy he knows 6.6 blew up at 40 k miles. Can’t put a pto on the chevy if you want to dump on the go. Anytime international gets involved with someone it’s problems. Chevy is buying my 6500 back because the check engine light is on now and they can’t figure it out they said it’s a common problem. Mine is a 2020 with 55k miles. The F600 is 4x4 not sure you can get a crew cab though.

U can get a 550 with 4x4 but ur gvw will be 19500

Nice truck, but could all your problems come from your upfitter . You keep talking about GM , but GM is the cab and chassis, not the pto and body . Welding on chassis could cause electrical problems if not done properly .

Yes and no. I haven’t made a final video yet. It’s still ongoing. GM is also the duramax that left it at the dealer from Oct 22 to october 23 high pressure fuel pump went and contaminated the whole fuel system about three months after I had a new upfitter replace the pto, lift hoist, and reservoir. It’s mint now and like new. The fix only took a few days but they said they couldn’t get parts for almost a year. Paid a few truck payments then 8 months of a rental f750 at $3500 a month. Then we had the truck for a few months and the check engine light came on the rear fuel tank won’t transfer to the front tank and the check engine light won’t go off. Fuel gauge reads empty. They can’t figure it say it’s wiring working with GM tech support. They said there are a lot of these commercial chassis with this problem they are working. There definitely is a problem with mix international chassis and GM body and motor. Same problem ford had when they teamed up with international. I know another local guy with the same truck duramax threw a rod at 40k miles it’s for sale with a new motor and warranty. A good buddy in a similar biz loves Chevy has 2 but bought a f600 dump truck this week after our problems. I believe ford may use a problematic fuel pump possibly the same one. We were using that other truck leaving parked at the dealership. Just had to keep fuel in the front tank. I got a ticket a couple weeks ago for being out of inspection. Won’t pass with the check engine light. Still have it still broke GM has a ticket in to buy it back. Will make a video after I have all the details. Yesterday that upfitter really sucked and didn’t stand behind their product. Definitely designed wrong. Cost me 11k a year old that’s BS prob had a legit lawsuit.
