New Fall 2022 Fragrances First Impressions

I’m a 21 y.o. boy and I really fell in love with Prada Paradoxe. I’ve always liked female perfumes, sweet and floral. But until now I never smelled a fragrance like this. Is a complete paradoxe. Floral but fresh, sweet but not too much, and the amber is the winning note of this fragrance in my opinion. And there is something else not revealed by perfumers. I don't agree with people who say it is the same as My Way or Donna Born in Roma at all, because they have a different sillage and developement on the skin. This keeps neroli essence all day, and only at the end it’s a little sweeter. It’s similar to many frangrances, but the paradoxe is that you love it the same, the sensation is a contrast between fresh and warm, it works amazing on me. I bought the 3oz bottle, so excited. To be sure, a fragrance can’t be judged just because of its ground-breaking scent. Cheers from Sicily!

That was me! I have tested tried the other burberry hers and none of them did it for me. The elixir was the one! It smelled good on the sample card and was even better on the skin. J'dore is just classy!

Great review!! I’m so glad I held out to purchase Elixir. The EDP was too soft/airy for me and the Intense sold out before I could purchase it. I was able to smell it and it was nice, but Elixir is my favorite. Will try layering it with Bath & Body Works Buttercups and Berry Bellini shower gel and body cream 🍓🍨

I have Burberry Her EDT and love it. I smelled Intense a while back and liked it, not so much the original. I’m still waiting to smell the Elixir. I stopped at Ulta yesterday and they told me they’d have the tester out next week lol. She had a bottle and said I could buy it but I want to smell it first. I smelled 724 yesterday and I felt like it was just meh. I could definitely do without it. I didn’t feel like I needed it in my collection despite the fact that it definitely is a different type of clean unlike any other clean scent that I have smelled so far. The sales associate sprayed it on me and I let my husband smell it and he said it was okay. Usually if he loves something he immediately says I’m buying that for you. 😂 We went to the store in the evening time so it was definitely cooler out so I feel we got the true essences of how it would smell. We smelled my arm about 1.5 hours later and he still wasn’t impressed and neither was I so its a no for me. I will likely get a sample and try it another time because I know at times our scent profile preferences change so its quite possible at some point I may like it If I wore it and played with it a little because I do kind of appreciate the dry down as a close skin scent. There may be a note that I simply don’t like in it which is why I prefer the dry down when its practically fading off. If that is the case I don’t know how I feel about spending so much on a fragrance that I really only like hours after it settles. However if that is the case then it wouldn’t be a date night scent for me it would be something I wear during the day or perhaps a work scent. Husband didn’t hate it he just wasnt impressed. Its probably is more of a safe scent in terms of wearing around other people but I don’t feel it will be a complement getting scent. When I think of the smell its definitely remind me of a very mature woman with perhaps a young spirit about her.

I ordered Good Fortune after smelling the paper sample that came in the Macy's flyer; however, when I received the actual fragrance there was a note in there - the only way I could describe it as bitter or sharp? So I researched it out and I believe it's called gentian. The fragrance also has a fennel note. It seemed to dry down to a nice, soft scent but no matter how I tried I couldn't get over that note so I returned the product. Love your content and reviews! :):)

When I first smelled Burberry her the OG several years back I was like..ew what a synthetic mess..than I just smelled the elixir at macys and was omg why do I like this one?! Elixir is smoother and more refined “synthetic strawberry” haha. Plus the OG didn’t smell as offensive to me anymore! 😂 my hormones I guess…

I did not like the original so Im not the person to compare them lol. The elixir is more potent and lasts. It's definitely artificial strawberry smelling.

Good fortune smells terrible to me. Reminds me of Paco Rabanne One Million Parfum. Peppery and masculine. I want that Prada Paradoxe though. I liked my way but on my skin it was pink peppery and that’s a deal breaker note. Also like Born in aroma on other people but I can’t do the pink pepper or black currant. Both deal breaker notes. I love Benzoin so I’m really looking forward to paradoxe.
