@martinmariboe I am an actual music critic. The interesting thing about Gestalt theory is that while human beings typically look at things as a whole, this whole still completely determined and comprised of much smaller individual parts. Garbage + garbage = trash, regardless of how far back you stand. Observing the question "what is art?" would be philosophy. I can understand how you could get this confused, as the closest you've come to seeing a university was watching 'Animal House.'

John Bonham plays very Dave Grohl-esque in this song. Oh wait..

Perhaps the greatest superband in the history of rock music right here. (Though I understand that TCV do not really like being categorized as a "superband," but I only use it to describe what I mean.)

@rb304288 actually, i do listen to the blues, including those artists. and if you think "dead leaves and the dirty ground" and "fell in love with a girl" are blues, then you have not listened to much of The White Stripes earlier music. "hello operator", "death letter" (Son House cover), and "one more cup of coffee" (Bob Dylan cover) are some of my favorite tunes from them. i don't think of The White Stripes as blues in the same way that Son House, or Eric Clapton are blues, but, they are blues

@MrStrokeAce "Temple of the Dog" was published in 1990, while "Ultramega OK", Soundgarden's first album, was published in 1988, so Soundgarend had already started their activity when "Temple of the Dog" came out, moreover you can see Temple of the Dog as a supergroup composed of members from Soundgarden and Mother Love bone, whose only album "Apple" was published in 1990 too, plus Mike McCready playing guitar in the whole album and guest Eddie Vedder in "Hunger Strike"
