Very good video, I'm glad to have selected the pre-fitted decoder and sound. The one thing that I would say about the pantograph is that at least it's pose-able, unlike the original spring pantograph, which is advantageous for setting a height without fear of snagging or fouling.

thanks for the feedback - very true about the spring pantograph

Certainly beautiful models, and definitely on the radar at some point. Wonder why farish are now uses FOUR screws to support the body shell. Never known this on a more modern release
@flinthillsmodelrailway2 жыл бұрын
thanks John, I think its because the Body shell has 4 Spring contacts for the lighting and cab at each end ,which does tend to push the Body away from the base. those screws do hold it nice and firm

Happy New Year! Great video. Nice new models, but I love the side-by-side comparisons of old vs. new. There is definitely some good and bad both ways! Thanks for the show!

Very nice video covering these new releases, I believe Farish definitely could have made it easier to remove the bodyshells, but overall a vast improvement

i think they had to put the screws in because of the sound ad light springs at the top . i wonder if more new models will come this way now

All the automation on the computer is excellent, wish I'd known about that kind of thing when I started building my layout!

Hi. It’s not that hard to retro fit , I did the basic layout as DC to start with and then moved to DCC and then on automation.
@finnbroughngauge Жыл бұрын
@@flinthillsmodelrailway that's handy to know. Did you have it wired in blocks for DC? Mines literally droppers everywhere and every rail is live, all connected. Wouldn't even comprehend starting to isolate sections of I had to! Installing detectors might be a bit easier but not much I don't think?

Hi Geoff - twice in one day lol ! The new 90 looks good - wonder if one will appear on my own layout? Always a pleasure to watch the trains on your superb layout. Maybe some electrification masts might appear to run those electrics under? Cheers Euan

HI Euan yes for sure , I have 3 printed some Masks but I'm not sure on the spacing between them

Loving your layout. I'm.just starting dcc n gauge. Did you design it yourself. Can you recommend any good layout books. I am a complete novice so would Appreciate any help. Really impressed with your whole set up

Hi David , welcome to the N gauge DCC world . regarding my layout design . I didnt find the books helpful but I spent ages going to various Shows and looking at what others had done and took loads of pictures . i wanted something that could run Fully automated or if i wished i could manually do as well . I knew I wanted a Central terminus that trains could leave from and loop around before heading back to the Station again . This layout is only a small test layout as I'm planning a Much bigger layout based around the same user ability . Hope this Helps . Geoff
