Hi, just found your app. Impressive. I’ve used many music apps since they were available on my first iPad. Next week I’ll download Stage Traxx 3 and use the tutorials provided. Previously, I used OnSong, but found it limiting. Several other App developers stopped supporting their product and other Apps were insufficient for my use. I’ve read and viewed comments and reviewed for Stage Traxx 3 and I echo their comments. I thank you for the work you have done, and I will add my comments following working with Stage Traxx 3. Best looking, functional and intuitive app at what it does! You ask for suggestions, I recommend adding an option to hide lyrics just from external display for the audience, but keep chords on device in front of you, for us musicians. Thank you so much for your work!

Thank you again Peter. Excellent update. I use the repeat region feature for getting my audience to sing along to certain parts of a song. It works great. Also just noticed you can now adjust the flash light time for the end of a song. Works well in my residency as it takes 20 seconds for the curtains to close. 😂….keep up the good work. It is a proper musicians app.

Hi Peter, it's been a while, absolutely loving Stage Traxx 3, yes I'm still on 3 when I first bought your amazing software, all set to how I like although there are a few songs I would like to add an extra chorus at the end to, but afraid to go messing with what I now have to date, also I see here we are on version 3.8 and again I'm afraid press update I the fear of losing what I created to date and would have to revert back to taking my keyboards on the road again,😮

Hi, just one think missing here is , lyrics should auto align to 2 or 3 columns so the full song visible in one page so that we need not have to worry about scrolling ect.. these options available in songpro , onesong apps, I think its possible here to . So the app developers should consider this as well. Thanks

I don't think multiple columns would work with auto scrolling. Yes, without scrolling you would be able to see more text on the screen, but I think it is better to have a large font with less text displayed on the screen when the correct portion of the lyrics is always centered on the screen.

Hi Peter, I can't any other way to contact you, so I thought I'd just try commenting on your video. Great work on the app. I have an issue with hosting sessions and joining sessions. As a band we use the host/join session function, and it works very well. My bass player wants to display his own PDF's on a small amount of song he finds difficult, but see the shared lyrics of the majority of the songs. Is there a way to activate PDF's on your own iPad while still being joined to a session? Regards, Darren.

I am very impressed with this excellent piece of software. I am purchasing a second hand ipad to run it. I think that a large 12.9" screen may help. And a minimum of 512 GB memory. But what about the CPU or the version. In the video the compatibility with minimum Ipad AIR 2 is mentionned. Is such an "old" ipad enough to have efficient pitch and speed changes for 8 and sometimes16 tracks? Or does it require a more modern M1/M2 CPU to play always without any risk?

Yes, crossfading between two 8-track pitch shifted and time stretched songs works even on an iPad Air 2. But the CPU is running near 100% at that point. So a faster CPU is always better but you don't need a M1/M2 CPU for running Stage Traxx.

That's impossible bue to network latency. The client ipads would always be a bit late.

Hey Peter, Im coming off Onsong. I have seen the light, and purchased and now setting it up.Thanks for videos. Once I get this set up, its going to be great. Firstly, is there Console editor, like onsong had? I did enjoy not having to fiddle on the ipad. I just type in ip address in my browser, and I could edit inside of onsong, while on the mac, was very easy. Perhaps they have the same? Or is there a way better way to migrate those songs in onsong, including the audio tracks, and the lyrics, etc. Im doing manually, and is a challenge setting up while on the ipad. Is there an easier way?

There is no console editor for ST3. If you have a Macbook you can run it on the Macbook. On an iPad connecting keyboard and mouse does also help a lot if you need to edit lots of stuff.

Thank You Peter for those updates. Quick question about the metronome, is it just visual or can we hear the metronome? It will be Sooooo helpfull to have the option to hear or not a metronome inside Stage traxx, because I have to create on logic a separate track to only hear the metronome separatly and it take me a lot of work to create a "metronome track" for all my musics. I need to isolate this the metronome. Can wait to hear from you. Thank you again.

It is only visual in version 3.8. But I have plans to make it also audible in version 4.

@@stagetraxx thank you 🙏… also for the futur version can you please make possible to give control from Join and Host session… let me explain my situation, I’m alone to perform and what I do is, I let my MacBook Pro at the back of the stage and host session, so I join the session with my iPhone in front of the stage, but I can not control « stagetraxx » from where I am… it will be AMAZING if we can give option to control the software whatever if your are hosting or joining the session. Please please please it will be so helpful 🙏

ST3 has no ableton link. Syncing playback to external drum machines does not work as playback start in ST3 is not immediate and varies based on the number of tracks you use.

not sure of the programming but on second thought not much is really immediate and everything buffered, and as far as sync the slave unit just waits to lock with master clock at top of bar like a taxi picking up multiple people it just waits so everyone can go together... just food for thought. ST3 is superior in every way for running tracks and music and lyrics - even with loop repeats, but if wanting live changeable locking sounds - synths drum machines etc, it comes to an either/or situation. it is an exciting journey nonetheless ; )

Hello! Why only 8 tracks on the multitracks sections? For example: multitrack from karaoke- version sometimes has 10 and more tracks. If take one track for metronome sound it left 7 tracks. Could you make unlimited multitrack sections like Prime Loop or Multitracker app?

Because during crossfades there might be 16 tracks playing. All with EQs, pitch shifting and time stretching. That's already stretching some hardware.

@@marv8868 Only if you mix down two mono tracks left/right to a stereo file. Then you will have 16 tracks in 8 stereo files.

Is it possible to have a button to hide or show lyrics in a future update when on the main play back screen. I’ve recently jumped ship from BackTrax as your app is well supported. I just miss that feature from that app. I know I can hold the arrow key to show more or less of the lyrics but it would be good to have a show and hide if possible. Great app and tutorials btw.

I have Installed here and it’s working smoothly! I have one question: in lyrics editing, is it possible to select and change all the timecode to decrease 1 second simultaneously, for example? For some reason I inserted [midi@00:01.0: PC1@1] in the beginning of all songs to trigger another app, but now I want to copy this lyrics but begging at zero. Do I need to insert the timecode for all songs again 😢 ?

Yes, you can offset all timecodes by a number of milliseconds. Just write [offset:-1000] anywhere in the lyrics to move the timecodes 1 second earlier.

Not in the way you described it. You can only define audio regions for all tracks within a song. So all tracks will play the selected region and not drums region a and bass region b.

No, Stage Traxx can not manipulate the background of pdf files.

Oh Peter I just checked my version, it's 3.8.4 so it must have automatically updated itself, and now I see sync with cloud toggle is off, this should be on shouldn't it, it would explain why over the last few days when adding songs I had to do this by signing in online to icloud on my PC, I was wondering why this was so, I just put the toggle to on, and I get a message saying stage traxx need to restart 😮

Hi. Since I updated to iOS 17.4 this week, unfortunately yesterday I had issues during my show, with Stage Traxx 3. All the songs had dropouts along the night. I know I should have backup system and I learned the hard way. So, is there any update to fix this issue?

I have not experienced any playback issues in 17.4. I also got no other reports about dropouts in 17.4.

If it still happens after that, send me your logfiles via Settings > Create support email and write in the email at what time the dropbout happened last and what type of iPad you are running. Also increase the audio buffer in Settings > Playback Settings. And make sure no other apps are running in the background.

Each track can already have a seperate output. So the outputs are not limited by itself, but by the number of tracks.
