This reminds me that I have to scan some of my negatives. I bought and shot SantaColor when I was in Finland, and I got it developed back home in the US. I've been busy in the past few months though, and I haven't scanned some of my rolls. I'll do it next week I think, because I have more free time then.

Always great to have new film, especially bulk loading (or whatever the correct terminology is), to shoot in different cameras. If I can respool a still film roll on a 100 feet spool and shoot movie, Id be happy. Only thing would be perfs, i dont know which would fit what movie camera : D

I've made 2 videos for Reflx Lab's 800 tungsten. One roll I shot in bright daylight (because experimenting.) and the other was more what it was aimed at. I'm a big fan of what Reflx Lab is doing. I've also shot their 100D & Pro 100. Will be sharing about those sometime in the future. I live in China and there is a rather large film community here, so it's awesome to be able to see new stuff coming out across the world and not only here from local manufacturers. I'm pretty amped that manufacturers are seeing there is still a market for film. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Pentax & Rollei film cameras?

Flic could be just Kodak 800 for disposable cameras, just like Lomo 800

@@davemarshall9302 How do you know? There was another video comparing Lomo 800 and FlicFilm Aurora 800 and they look VERY similar. As far as i know Lomo 800 is Gold 800 or something very similar. At the very lease probably made by Kodak.
@Rickky80810 ай бұрын
This is true it’s Kodak 800 found in disposable camera. Only three companies produce color film Kodak, Orwo, and recently Harmen(Fuji unofficial aren’t producing film). This is the problem with all this repackaging no one is being transparent! and end of the day it’s hurting the film manufacturers such as Kodak.
@andrewbarnum504010 ай бұрын
Agreed, too much repackaging. However as a side note, Fujifilm just restarted their film manufacturing so there are 4 companies making color film. And there may be more since some of the stranger Lomography film is not from Kodak. Also there possibly is a color film manufacturer in China. @@Rickky808

Are you saying Flic Film is a manufacturer of colorfilm besides Kodak, Fujifilm and Orwo (and of course Harman and Adox starting manufacturing it wit experimental films )? Their film is very mature, so how come?
@Nitidus10 ай бұрын
This looks like Kodak 800 to me, the same stock that Lomo repackages and sells as Lomo 800. It has the classic "Kodak disposable camera" look.

A little tip: Have a look at the Praktica VLC or the Praktica VLC2 or the Praktica VLC3 from the former GDR, as a favourable alternative to: - Nikon F2 - Nikon F3 - Canon F-1 - Canon F-1n - Canon F-1New - Pentax LX you will definitely be surprised. Greetings from Germany Addendum: I would recommend the Praktica VLC2, but make sure that the previous owner took good care of it. Then the price-performance ratio will really blow you away, especially if you get it with a prism viewfinder, waist-level viewfinder and magnifying viewfinder. A little tip: get a Praktica battery adapter, which requires three LR44 button cell batteries. With the camera you can use the very popular lenses with M42 screw mount without an adapter, even the great Helios 44 lenses or the Carl Zeiss Jena lenses. Have fun 😉
