I am interested in the reasons behind the rz67 & rbi’s pro sd. I have the rz but never shot with rb. Supposedly the pro sd is the best. Let us know. I had one of the sony cameras back in 2005. Nice piece of kit until i dropped it on the lens when it was extended…

you should look into a PD prism for the rz. Turn the beats into a SLR 😂

I forgot to add this. The canon a1 is a great little camera & both 50mm lens versions are classic vintage. For the rz i had many lenses (140mm sold) but kept 110mm, 180mm. You might like the 65mm but the 50mm is really wide. If you want sharp portrait look into the 140mm macro or 210mm apo (might be too sharp), but you can’t go wrong with the 180mm. but the 110mm is wonderful. it’s the reason to own the rz in my pov.

sorry I have a question, since that film photos resolution should be higher than your video resolution 1920*1080. Have you meet a situation that the film photos are losing quality after exporting the video? or do you have some recommendation of putting film photos in video and not losing its quality? Thanks in advanced!!!

Your friend is going to regret parting with that camera. I put my gs-1 and etrs kit up in 2010 and just pulled it out. It cost 3x as much to purchase now vs when i bought in 2006. Just imagine what shrinking supply and increased demand will do to prices in 10 years. I'll find out if they work this week. I think you should fix the camera light seals. dave hancock made a video about using yarn to do it. It's easier to add that effect in post than to fix it. Prices are so low on 35mm kit you could just pick up another body. do what makes you happy and shoot how you want. I don't know about that chinon. A rangefinder or other small form factor non slr might fit the bill. Film cameras draw attention, but people are used to seeing cameras in print and film. That chinon though is going to make people look at you. Your going to get that perplexed look frequently on film until people make the association that the chinon is just a camera and not something out of total recall. On shooting any vintage camera. I wouldn't trust the meter. The oldest that a1 camera could be is 45. The youngest it could be is 38. The meters were not that great to begin with and 4 decades is a long time. Easy for it to drift a stop or two. Not an issue with negative film really but it will bite you if you shoot a slide film. Handheld meters are cheap on ebay. I spent 65 on a polaris flash meter in january. Or you could get one of the new hotshoe mount ones. Personally though i'd just say use the meter on your dslr, put an app on the phone, or shoot the phone in manual mode.
Photography is NOT your hobby. It’s an excuse.
