This still isn't going to satisfy the masses who were crying out for fishing to be added to the game. There's going to be something else that isn't up to their expectations about how the fishing works or doesn't work. Look, the main complaint for a long time was "how does this (name any update here) have anything to do with Search and Rescue?!?!" The same applies here. What does fishing have to do with SAR? Short answer, it's about as related as going to space; it's more of a whimsical request of the players the devs are catering to than something that has to do with SAR. But now that fishing is in there, we're going to have people complaining there isn't enough missions or infrastructure for them to play a career completely by fishing and never searching and rescuing. . . .This isn't Stormworks: Fish and Profit, just pointing that out. I was even a bit upset when they introduced both ore and oil mining. However, the game is going where ever the devs are taking it and you can't be satisfied with everything. My point of this rant is that everyone who has been shrieking for fishing to be added to the game, be satisfied with how it is and leave it at that. If it's fundamentally broken, it'll get fixed, but don't start demanding that we get fly fishing and spear fishing and deep-sea trolling and crab pots and lobster cages. WE DON'T NEED THOSE!!! We got fishing and just be satisfied they added such an auxiliary function into the game.

pisses me off everyone asks for fishing they add it you look on steam update discussion then most people are complaining about it, stormworks has the most toxic player base known to man most games your lucky to get a few updates a year not bi weekly minor updates and then how ever long major ones are but still its more updated than any other game i own

Ok so one of the fishing boats in the steam workshop is already equipped with on board poles. Other than having them on your ship I have no clue if there is another way.
