Installing Flaps on the 1.1m T-28 From E-Flite Mod Video.
Here is a list of materials that I used, be aware that the acrylic paint is not an exact match, it does lighten a couple of shades after a while.
Nylon Control horns 21 x 11 x 25mm
FMS Analog 091 reverse 9g servo
Miuzei SG09 9g servo
Blick acrylic series 3 Cadmium Yellow Deep Hue
Push rods were rescued from a crashed plane

Hard to find the right ending, glad you shared!!

My only suggestion would be to use one servo in the middle connecting the flaps with two rods

Hiya bud, nice recovery, well done. It's making good our mishaps and leaving no evidence that sets us apart!

you do it cleanly, almost like a model maker....something I'll do as soon as I get mine...thanks for all the ideas...To hide the servos, there is yellow scoctch at hobby king for not too expensive

That's cute. I absolutely love mine as well. You do an excellent job installing the flaps. I needed a good video to watch. But practice coming in at lower throttle with her. She floats at low speeds making landing a breeze with no flaps.

I usually do, but in this particular field, I got to clear some really tall trees, right before the runway starts. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment

A Foam brush works well for touch-ups and you don't get brush lines great mod thanks for sharing been wanting to do this on my FMS 800mm T-28

Nice. I need to do this on mine Trojan, its kinda to fast on landing. Nice to see this kind of videos, i wouldnt do this 1st time on mine own cause i never did this on a plane. Do you think if you did it again, would you make a little bigger flaps or this is fine? I didnt have time to watch video where you tested flaps but i will. Liked and subscribed!

The plane is very light for it size, that’s why I didn’t want to go any bigger. Thanks for the comment.

@@rookie_rc Yes its just bit over 1kg with 4S battery. I also have 1.2m and that one is 1.75kg with 4S 2200 battery. With 4000 4S is almost 2kg.

I guess you can do them as big as you want, the trick will be adjusting the servo travels at the end. You could follow the same line as the ailerons and shortened the overall length. Let me know how it turns out, I’m curious now

Take your time, use a new X-Acto, knife blade, and it should go fine. Good luck. Thank you for leaving the comment.

Hi CG again! I have all but the paint to work on the flaps. I don´t know why I got on the idea of sloted flaps and wanted to look for appropriate hinges and found this video to do some very easely kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zou2eaSKg9Rsjac My only problem remaining would be how to cut the wings or the flaps to have a round edges. If you have any idea it would be welcome!! Maybe cut them standard and after cut a round edge with a hot thin wire ://

The model is super light, I was afraid it would stall easily with the flaps deployed. Thanks for the comment.

Foam-tac and you would not have the bumps in the tape.

Wow. Horrible servo placement. You should have gone to the outside of the landing gear if you wanted to use the same channel. However the hot glue on the tape is smart.

I know, I realize it after the fact. I was trying to burry the servo in the thickest part of the wing, the further out you place it, the thinner the wing gets. Learning experience for the next Mod. Thank you for the comment.

@Rookie RC Model Aviation the nice part about full span flaps( like the real deal) is that you can always reduce flap settings of you have too much. If you need more than what you currently have set up you have to mod again. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Of course this particular plane has real light wing loading so I don't think it's would be a problem but of course I run mine on 2200 mah 4s and added scale strut covers and doors( no retracts), bigger wheels and lights.
