This is a great format for flashlight reviews, you hit all my questions.

We have an amazing selection of lights to choose from. When I served in the Marine Corps, I carried a sureFire Z2 Combat with 65 lumens from 2 CR123 batteries. Today, most AAA flashlights will out perform this at a fraction of the cost of a Sure Fire.

@@williamsisk2897 The Surefire was (is?) US made and I am thinking there are times when swapping batteries has a certain charm over having to recharge the light. The Tac AA 2.0 does look impressive. I like the Pokelit - about as bright but not the reach and smaller and I got a couple on sale for around 15.

Love the format! I bought my 1st ACE Beam simply based on form fact and found the quality and operation to be top notch!

Great discussion! Per ZA and Griz, the EC20 tested out at 2200 lumens and 22K candela for a throw of 300M. Looking at their beamshots, this is definitely aimed at the Warrior Mini 3/All-Round EDC market as opposed to the tactical/self-defense end of the spectrum. To justify its price, the Warrior Mini 3 needs to up its game.

If you want great candela for the money you can try the Convoy T6 14500 with the SFT-25R. Gets you over 50,000cd according to Darren Yeo for less than $20 with a battery. Think I'll picking one up once Convoy opens up again.

Great video. One problem that is happening with these high tech flashlights is confusion. If you have multiple flashlights for multiple uses then you have to school yourself every time you switch flashlights. Sometimes the flashlight operating systems are just too complex. I practice on a regularly with my nightstand flashlight to keep myself familiar with how it operates so that I will never be confused in an emergency situation. These modern high tech flashlights are great but they are not your gramp’s “D” cell flashlight which just had on and off.

Exactly, even though i hate the fact OLight does proprietary batteries and chargers, their UI on their lights like the Seeker 4 or Marauder Mini are brilliant. So simple to use and having a rotary dial to change the brightness is just perfect. And the Marauder's switch to change between flood or throw makes it my favorite big light to use around the property and the Seeker 4 Pro for nightstand and pocket carry.

No immediate access to moonlight is a real loss for me. I use that mode more than anything

You should check out the Emisar D3AA that runs on 14500/AA/NiMH and Anduril. I love it so much I have 6 of them. Tons of emitter options. Runs incredibly well on Vapcell H10 button tops. The clip Emisar offers for it kind of stinks, but you can get a clip from Skillhunt for their M150 that's two way and works great. You can get one for about 50 bucks configured exactly how you want it. Even with a tint mix.

The T35 is more directed at your Security Officer or LEO. Bright, good throw and robust. It’s perfect for those specific trades.

The format is appreciated, it makes comparisons easier. It would be nice to get the battery options not only in text for people like me, who let the video run while working on something. Also did i miss it or did you mentioned that all of them run with 18650 batteries?

18650 or 2x cr123 I believe

How about that, my H16 also has the second milled groove next to tail cap base line. Oddly enough - both grooves by caliper indicate 16mm. Almost as if it's H16 was named as. Cheers

Also have you tried out the Reylight LanApple? Was wondering if it would be a good inspection light because of its 4000K emitter?

yes, I just wish it had a hands free option. incredible beam though.

Have you played around with any 2 way clips for the EC20?? I would love to find one for it because it could easily become one of my favorites.

2:33 I got an LED torch with a warmer color temp on accident a couple of years back. I'm now a high CRI addict. I'll take the warmer color over that ugly clinical super high color temp any day. I learned that lumens aren't everything.

With the T35 would the issue with the switch be mostly negated by carrying it in a holster?

I would easily accept 30% less lumens and candela on just about any light to avoid harsh 6500K color temp. I dislike it so much that it really effects useability for me.

Same here. A low color temp 1200 lm _feels_ just as bright as a high color temp 1600 lm. For me anyways.

Let's go back to 0:56 of the T35 Clip discussion. It clearly looks to be a milled groove on opposite end of knurled section to reverse the clip for a cap mounted option. Remove clip and position it there instead. As for Acebeam, I can't make coffee w/o my H-16 right angle beam lighting up the water gauge to fill it. Let alone Clipped to pock for hands free middle of night loading groceries in the car. Or to even see where the key hole is hands free digging for keys. So far, I've gifted H-16's to friends at the pub to clerk at the store, And the same night I gave one to the clerk, the power went out that night leaving her in total black out to even find the door. But when riding a bicycle, make sure these EDC's are secured by tether to bell loop with quick disconnect- I ended up losing one the first day, as deep folds of jeans will dislodge light from just Clipped only to pocket when pedaling. The other issue are side switches, so far every model with one has turned on while pedaling, and ends up in turbo mode starting jeans on fire. And almost causing a crash. So make sure lock mode is engaged. 4 taps typically. Cheers

Well imho neutral is way better then the fake blue higher lumen light that makes everything look unnatural! Much prefer lights under 5000k under 4500k actually. 6000k lights suck. No direct access to moonlight so lights pointless to me!!!!! I have 5 kids use moonlight and lower light levels more then the bright!!
Great Flashlights from Wurkkos (DL08, TS26S, TS23)
