Nice maule, Steve could you explain a little more about how the reflex works. Because there are more beginners than we think, they can't all be fully learned, right? Or maybe make a video of gyros.
@CAPTAINDRONE79810 ай бұрын
FMS REFLEX. Has 3 modes. 1. Mode one is Stability. Plane can not flip upside down. Perfect for when use loose orientation and accidental flip plane on its side or upside down which will end in a crash. 2. Mode two is Wind Assistance. Pilot doesn’t have to continuously adjust plane in wind, it is done automatically. 3. Mode three simple turns everything off so you can fly as if REFLEX didn’t exist.

Do you reccomend a cheap transmitter for a beginner for this plane? Thinking about getting this for a first plane.
@CAPTAINDRONE7986 ай бұрын
When I started in the RC plane hobby, a year ago, I began with a Spektrum radio and always bought Spektrum receivers, so I’m not familiar with budget transmitters and receivers. However, RADIOMASTER and JUMPER are budget radios that I review and use for FPV Drones and they work amazingly well and feel quality.

Not a license, but rather a certificate to show that you are aware of safety regs flying in occupied airspace. It is honestly nothing more than that.

I had the old Red Eflite Maule too. I am beginning to wonder if FMS is creating much of anything original anymore or is this just where old Eflite models go to get a new lease on life, the Maule is not alone in this. I have also seen others do the same sort of thing. Recently old Flyzone planes were getting new paint and branding too. Flyzone Seawind is one such plane. Thanks for your work!
@CAPTAINDRONE79810 ай бұрын
I looked into this issue awhile ago and discovered that the most expensive part of creating an RC plane was the mold. So from my understanding, molds are not thrown out when a plane model is no longer sold, but instead they are rented out or sold, which explains why the same model will appear under different brand names.

Great vid, would you choose this maule or the 1.5m timber evolution 👍👍👍
@CAPTAINDRONE7988 ай бұрын
Probably the Maule as it is modelled after a real plane whereas the Timber is a fictional plane. I can say that almost all high wing planes fly very much the same and are all very forgiving at any speed.
@Pwow18 ай бұрын
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I see the timber has reverse thrust on the prop, good for short landings 👍

This plane reminds me of my ‘47 T craft. It was a floater also. I would bring it over a fence near the end of runway as low as I could and wait, and wait for the stall landing at about 48 mph. Finally it would touch down and I could turn at the first taxi way. This plane looks like a fun rc to land too. Thanks for your professional and fun review. 👍👍😀
