I got a chance to hear these with a luxman amp and they were very impressive. My s.o. would of been worried if they had them in stock but 6-8 weeks out. I got a bit before I get the itch.

Appreciate the effort but when this much work is being put into demoing a system the room can't be ignored. Especially all that glass behind the speakers and the echo in this room. It's a common thing where folks put a expensive system in a room but pay little attention to the room. A proper room with good gear is going to sound better than a non optimised room with great gear. Appreciate all the work put into this video though. Most on you tube don't go to those lengths with recording and mics. Again, were still left with you tube compression of the sound. Thanks!

I actually went down into my theater after hearing just the opening sound demo. I just wanted to hear it in all its glory. The separation between the singer and the guitar is great. The jazz brought tears to my eyes. 24K in the aiiiirrrrr!! What chyall trying to do!!

@@poserwanabe And a glass wall behind the guys. Cut the equipment cost in half and spend some on drapes and panels. Those poor little SnowSound deflectors can do nothing in a wood and glass environment. I'm confused as to why they're setting up here instead of a shop. In my almost 45 years in this hobby, I finally did figure out the room is 1/2 of your system. All the way up to including separate 220 for my listening room - just the electronics outlets. Don't need any "conditioners". BTW, Kanta's really do sound good.

MAKES A DIFFERENCE EITHER WAY AS IT CAN CHANGE THE SOUND SIGNATURE DEPENDING ON THE WIRE USED. FOCAL USES HIGH QUALITY WIRING DONT YOU WORRY

Hight quality wire is used to minimize rf interference. And external wire is a lot lenthear than inner wires. Even if inner wires are not top notch, getting good quality external wire helps.

The Kanta's are not the super stars here! They are not prodigious in bass at all. The Michi's are absolutely incredible and bring these speakers to another level. A pair of Kef LS 50's with a JL Audio Sub would eat up the Kanta's for half the price. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble. However, I love the videos and quality of audio. Keep up the fine work guys!

@@Hubbman32 You will need to move up to the Kanta 3 (we're talking big dollars now) to get anywhere near the bass that the subs will produce (room size dependent also.) Kanta's are accurate but have a more "tight" bass which I do not like. The Kef's are a relative audio bargain for price/performance. My audiophile disease was cured when I purchased a pair of B&W 802D3's. Just love the bass output of these speakers when paired with a high current amplifier. Happy auditioning!

300k on playing the music and 2 sh!+ mic's worth 180 to record in a horrid accoustic room. The mics should be where each ear should be for the proper imaging. But this gear is sweet. I also just saw a measuring test that I beleive , showed that coiled speaker wire introduces noise. Those Rode pros are also picking up the sound from ... well they are junk so maybe 2 ft in front of them, including waves echoing, shotguns are outdoor mics. They arent even XLR wired, yet you have, idk 40k XLRs connecting the preamps. Grab a Sennheiser ME 64/k6P mic for 500 (good cardiod) and this would be night and day difference add 500 for a ZoomF4 or 1K for a Mixpre3 so the recorders preamps are (film) industry standard and almost 0 noise floor. That's 1k to 1.5k and you can do some really good tests. Then to shock everyone, have it as an A/B test and swap the gear for an entry level HiFi system, maybe 2.5k and record the same tracks. Let us see what kind of difference we can hear, it still won't sound like in person, but with headphones on we can sure tell just how much better it really is and where maybe the law of diminishing returns kicks in. That would be a great series. Can be done with all levels of gear and brands, as well as the interconnects. I've wondered why no one does this, maybe it's bad for business lol finding out just how high ya really have to go. There a girl (Asian/glasses) who does recordings with detailed room measurements and has a "binurial? head" with 2 ear mics in the ears to simulate perfect listening position in the 3D plane, which is very important. But she obviously doesnt bring an entry level system in to replace it for an AB test. Her last system was this crazy 1 Million bohemouth ... no way he would let her move all that lol. Shes an editor in HiFi... some will maybe know the channel name (recently changed)
