When will they bring out the rifled barrel pellet firing version?
@Morpholigical3 жыл бұрын
Finally! I really wish there was a 4 inch barrel option, those look the best on N or K frame revolvers imo. I really hope Umarex makes more of these, the revolver market with airguns and airsoft has been so limited for the longest time. A J frame S&W replica (Snub-nose .38/ Detective) would be absolutely amazing, although it would probably require either a different gas system entirely or perhaps a green gas tank to accommodate the smaller grip size.

Totally adding this to the cart. The 3" one is like the one Nick Nolte uses in "48 Hrs.", where he basically played a carbon copy of Dirty Harry.

“Wildey’s here. Fires a .457 Wildey magnum. Real stopping power.” “Is that like a .44 magnum?” “No, the .44 is a pistol cartridge. The .457 Wildey magnum is a shorter version of the African big game cartridge. Makes a real mess.”

Why is it always 3 joules? Is this a legal limit?
@JohnRotheryWholesale3 жыл бұрын
Hi, 3 joules is the maximum power that can be achieved using a single 12g Co2 capsule. Thanks for watching!
@viperracing28893 жыл бұрын
@@JohnRotheryWholesale Thank you so much for your answer. I've been wondering about this for a long time. Finally I know. 😊👍
@BulletMagnet833 жыл бұрын
It is a legal power limit, but for Taiwan. The power limit for airguns there is 20J/cm2, and if you work that out for a 4.5mm BB you end up with around 3.1J. I suspect the reason most CO2 replica BB guns are around 3J is because they are either manufactured there, or there is a serious export market for them to be sold there. After all, factories there are already set up with the alloy casting and injection molding facilities for making airsoft guns, so it would make perfect sense to outsource. In order to be legally manufactured there, they would have to conform to local power limits... otherwise they'd be manufacturing "firearms". The difference between Umarex, KWC, Swiss Arms and Cybergun CO2 BB pistols in some cases is literally just the box it came in, and whether it has licensed trademarks or not.
@viperracing28893 жыл бұрын
@@BulletMagnet83 So it's not that 3 joules is the highest that can be achieved using a single 12g CO2 capsule, as stated in the reply above? If not, what's the maximum that can be achieved in theory? I know some match pistols can actually be used with 12g CO2 cartridges, such as the Alfa Proj Sport. Surely it must be more than 3 joules to be as good a match pistol as it is? The more I read on the topic, the more it seems that the legal limit in my country is 3 joules for semi-automatic pistols, i.e. ones that automatically cock the hammer and load a new pellet/BB, for each shot that you make. For fully manually loaded pistols, which you can only load with one pellet at a time, the legal limit is 10 joules.
@BulletMagnet833 жыл бұрын
@@viperracing2889 That depends on barrel length as much as anything else, as the CO2 needs time to expand and do it's thing. I have a Crosman 2240 that does about 7j out of the box, and I could make it do more if I didn't care about the law!

Hi, no specific pellet model has been announced. However they use the same shells as the Legends rifles and Colt SAA pistols. We haven't tested ourselves so can't confirm pellets would work as of yet.
@liamerickson34273 жыл бұрын
You could probably put pellets through it, although the accuracy won’t be very good because the barrel is smooth bore (I think). If you wanted to use pellets, I suggest using .177 slugs instead, they would probably give better accuracy

I have now bought two of these guns. The manufacturer has painted it wrong. It is like Dan Wesson 715`s steel grey color. Not black as it should be. What is wrong with their eyes? I mean if they could achieve that glossy finish like with the original Smith, why not paint it real black? Everything must be wrong with airguns and airsofts? I have never seen ONE properly made gun. The only exception is Tanaka, but their guns are plastic and are gas guns. Or model guns that can't shoot.
