New Ford B-MAX review and road test 2013

The new Ford B-MAX is one of the latest family car renditions to come out of the American manufacturers workshop.
The new B-MAX carries two trademarks - missing B-pillars and Ford's new SYNC technology system, both of which are key selling points to its fresh design.
But as well as adding new features, the B-MAX has retained its no-nonsense practicality features, making it a great family car.

The b pillars are fine my friend drives one and I haven’t found them to be a problem when driving

What sort of MPG did you get? Thinking of buying a second hand one

@@Senield from what I can remember it averaged 49 around town and over 55mpg on a longer run.

Yes it was a pain, really distracting. Still, with the doors open the missing B-pillar is really useful.

I think the B-MAX looks great in red, nice car. I think Ford should have sorted that built-in B-pillar out though, looks like it would be a pain when trying to reverse!

Yeh the sound does seems to be a bit up and down at times, I think it was because I had the mic in near my jacket. Thanks for the feedback anyways.

No, it is more of a lever you pull up and down, but it does the same thing.

On paper I think the VW 1.2 tsi takes the lead, but on the road head to head I am not sure. It would be good to get them side by side though.

the ford dealers said there really good automatics and so has other reviewers you should try and test drive one and let us know your opinion

hows the in gear accelaration in the 1.0 ecoboost engine, is it better or worse than the VW 1.2 tsi? also comment on 1.5 tdci options, does they have enough low end torque ie below 2000 rpm so that we can have hassle free driving rather than revving the engine?

ok then the engine is what the highlight of the car is more than anything and no ideas on drivability of 1.5l diesel, hope u put some info on that aspect 2 when reviewing cars

It's a brilliant car....but !! .....DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THE AUTOMATIC .... Too many problems which Ford are unable to fix, and only about 33mpg around town.
