Thanks Dave. I’ve come across those small mounds in the past, again on damp ground or water meadows, but I never really knew what had made them. Logan can really move as he showed in that sand. I know you’re using a very wide angle lens, but even so! His agility is something else.

Yes - Logan certainly loves it in the sand!

Hi Dave, We did this walk on Saturday - a lovely walk. Half Moon Common is getting a bit wet in places now but then it is October. Lots of ponies, cows, donkeys, chickens, pigs and their piglets. Wonderful views from Stagbury Hill. Loved Logan's zoomies!

Enjoyed your walk Dave… some beautiful scenery from the top of the mound … loved Logan zooming around the sand pit … and that dead tree definitely looked like a skeleton of the dinosaur I’ve seen in London’s Natural History museum ... lovely walk ...

Thank you. That "skeleton" tree was certainly veey eye catching!

Another fun walk w/ you & Logan. I sometimes wonder how you can refrain from just loosing it when Logan does his Zoomies! He really had me laughing hard this time!🤣🤣🤣

I don't know what it is about sand...but he just loves it!

Hello Dave, I enjoyed that walk, the NT Commons do have a character of their own. I think that was a boundary stone. I once walked the whole New Forest Crown lands boundary (92 miles) I did it with a friend using two cars doing about 5 miles a day over a year. We found several boundary stone missing and some broken.

Thanks Peter. I wasn't 100% sure! They seem so varied (some have inscriptions....and some just appear blank). Good fun trying to find them though!

Hi Dave, enjoying your walks. We are new to the area and recently discovered a lovely area by Acres Down Farm Shop and tearoom. Was wondering if you would consider adding a walk which takes in this area and tea room. We got slightly lost walking this lovely area.

Thank you. Good idea..I will work on that. I have done a circular walk to the South of Andrews Mare that passed the Hart Hill viewpoint....within striking distance of the Acres Down Farm Shop. Video at: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYHLqp6iq96prM0

@@DaveFord Since my last message re: Acres Down tearoom, I have been reading google and trip advisor reviews about this place so I am not recommending you pay it a visit but it is an excellent area for a new forest walk.

50/50 not too shabby. Telling Logan and Monty there's a hot-dog for each border stone found would no doubt improve the score dramatically. Or is that cheating?

Good idea!

Isn’t that the boundary stone in the bottom left of the screen under the brambles at 17:02?

Oh yes...well spotted. You could well be right! I will have to go and check again!
