That's a classic Dave Ford New Forest walk. Blue skies, mix of heathland and woods plus some history. Perfect!

I've never seen a dog who loves blackberries before. How lovely
@DaveFord2 ай бұрын
Yes indeed ..... a "blackberry stop" is compulsory during late summer walks!

Wow I had no idea you could walk to the Red Shoot from Lindford Bottom! They seem miles apart
@DaveFord3 жыл бұрын
It is a lovely walk in the Summer, Laura. Hopefully the Red Shoot will be open again soon!

Great too see the “Then and now,” shot of the fairytale cottage. The forest has many spots associated with WW2. Used too visit The Red Shot Inn, I remember the micro brewery. Great video.

Thank you. Looking forward to paying a visit to the Red Shoot when it opens again!

Nice walk Dave, I wonder if the Castle Piece fort was just a hunting lodge. I liked the W2 photos. One day you might like to do a walk taking in Fletchwood Lane.
@DaveFord3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Peter. You could be right about Castle Piece.... so little really is understood about earthworks like that. I think a walk that takes in Fletchwood Copse & Bartley Water would certainly make for a great "New Forest Walk" video ... one for the list!
